strapHandsome Man £2 million to repay my loans
£3 million on some tossy sculpture to donate to the british people
£500,000 bid for Nugent from Portsmouth - trouser the cash and complain that nobody wants to come to us when it is refused
You are me and I claim my £5.
So there are now 2 of us who don't think Mr Ego is The Messiah, Mother Theresa and Nelson Mandela rolled into one! We should be careful, or else we could start something here.

hutch David Nugent, a proven goal scorer at this level. Pompey want 6m for him, he`s not worth that, but why don`t we try a 4-4.5m take it or leave it bid. Pompey owe us a big one anyway!!!!

Jez Ben Watson 1.5million
Cameron Jerome 3 million

Very near...far awayOzBiscuit2004friday fan I might get dodded for this again but I previously suggested Josh Kennedy.
Currently playing for Wolfsburd in Germany. Tall and has good feet. Kennedy is being groomed as Australia's replacement for Viduka and did well in the last world cup. Before I get dodded think, we need to look within the budget, this guy has played in the bundeslegia and is young.
I don't mind the sound of Nugent but would suggest a straight swap with Shorey - both have been fringe England players and in value not much between them.
Good call on Kennedy
Could be a good one - but he's very injury-prone.

How about we give them Shorey and in return we get Nugent and a million quid.

urzmikep Don't waste your time with answering this thread - i can tell you now that the money won't be spent on buying new players, we didn't do it last year when we had more money so why do it know - the club has stated that the squad has to be reduced more so why are we gonna get more players in.
£5.5m is going into the Mr Mad back pocket fund, got to pay for the media centre and extension to the hotel some how!!

Strap, how could you forget me when we both go back so far (to the days when RoyalMail was the main way of communicating on matters RFC)?!
I have a feeling that we may have been expressing similar views back in 1995/96!

SCIAG £1.5m worth on Rosinor- swap for Seol who we signed for £1.5m.
by Arch » 19 Jul 2008 18:21
If we'd sold Seol to someone else and bought Rosenior for 1m, we'd count that in the club's spending - even if we'd given Seol away. If my dim memory is right, the Seol-Rosenior deal was not a swap but rather 1m each way. So you should count something for Rosenior. Either way, it's about 6m plus Rosenior.PlatypussSCIAG £1.5m worth on Rosinor- swap for Seol who we signed for £1.5m.
That makes no sense whatsoever.
If we'd have given Fulham £1.5M plus Seol for Rosenior you might have had a point.

Jez With Birmingham getting Phillips and Marcus Bent in that leaves them with
Forsell
Phillips
Bent
O'conner
Jerome
Mcfaddon
surely its worth a cheeky bid for Jerome ( proven at this level and reportedly unhappy at brum) or for that matter O'conner who i dont think we saw the best of last season!

Streets We haven't recieved £5.5m for Kitson. Some of that depends on Stoke staying up and is paid in installments.
If you think Coppell has been given £5.5m to spend as a result of Kitson's sale, you are deluded.
I expect we have maybe a transfer kitty of say £2m to spend.
Don't get your hopes up!
