Royal Lady Truly, in your next re-incarnation on here Behindu, I strongly suggest you use the Mr Condescension tag.

I truely fail to understand you attitude RL.

Royal Lady  If they stop selling season tickets, people who want to go to every game will have to pay for each game, thus netting the club more money.

Whereas if they buy a season ticket they get in for free?

Are you really suggesting the club think they'd be better off if fans all paid on the day rather than bought season tickets?

Yes, typically a STH gets three games free, but it also commits them to going to 20 games a season to make it worthwhile. That's kind of why they like fans to buy season tickets. It's not done because it's more convenient for the supporters.

What's all the fuss about? Anyone who really wanted to get a ST has had 3 oxf*rd months to do so.

Will it ?
Another interesting exercise in calculating whether getting all the money up front and getting the interest on it is worth more than getting it in stages over 9 months, perhaps factoring in the chances of someone missing the odd game.

Anyone got a calculator ?

If it's not beneficial to the club why do they try to make STs so attractive to buy then?

Yeah with my tongue in my cheek. I've got no idea why they've stopped selling them, neither has anyone else by the sounds of it.

I was toying with a late ST purchase but obvioulsy that won't happen now.

What is LOLable is that my ST from last season didn't have the Premiershop logo on it, but now they've sent me a new member card for next season it does have the premiership logo on it :|

I can't imagine your the only one either, especially considering a fair few people might be wanting to wait until our squad takes shapes before handing over their hard earned cash.

Won't be a late rush now will there....very odd policy and would love to know why they've done it.

Staffing, risk vs value assessment of how much it's likely to cost them being minimal.

Chances are most people who were going to renew will have done it by now. I doubt th eclub would get more than a couple of hundred over the next few weeks at most so it just isn't worth it.

They're hoping you wont realise we were relegated, think the p[rices have been dropped significantly and talk your mates into coming along.

So all the ticket office staff have gone on holiday or been laid off?

What risk? What cost? They'll have someone in the TO anyway and how long does it take to process a season ticket application?

There appear to be so many lost plots around the Mad Stad at present that hopefully someone will rediscover one!

Here's an idea, why doesn't somebody just ask the club why they've removed them from sale rather than just adding some form of conspiracy theories...

I don't see a conspiracy. All I see is that the ticket office don't think they can sell individual match tickets alongside season tickets.

I think that's a very poor show from the club to be honest.

Has anyone attempted to buy a season ticket since the embargo was introduced?

A little guesswork on my part.

Assuming no season tickets sold in the South Stand there is the opportunity to let the whole of it to the clubs likely to fill it.

However to do so there would need to be reasonable capacity for casual/non sth elsewhere.

Could this be a/the reason?

As already suggested, there's a conflict between keeping seats reserved in case they want to be sold as season tickets, and then selling them as individual seats - once a seat has gone for the Plymouth game that seat is no longer available for a ST.

I'm sure they could get round this with manual effort, but why should they at this stage? People have had plenty of time to buy STs so far so why should they be catered for now?

One of the reasons the Ticket Office is running much better than it did a few years ago is that they now keep things simple and don't try to cater for everyone with lots of individual products or different ways to sell things, so this is just more of the same.
