Think you are right - Reading will state that as ROI use the Euro, it means that any player is technically foreign!

I can see Madejski right now writing out Eto's weekly pay cheque and signing it Bugs Bunny!

Ghanaian International striker Lloyd Owusu has rejoined the Royals from Yeovil on a 3 year deal for £1million. A delighted Owusu said It feels like I'm coming back to my spiritual home, I can't wait to meet up with the lads again and start scoring goals and raising the roof with these great fans, it's a dream' STAR spokesman Jon Keen was delighted with the news 'It's great to have Lloydy back, he's an international striker and a good target man, great to see him back'

Roylas Director of Football Nick (don't call me Nicky) Hammond explained the deal 'When we knew Kits was leaving there was only 1 player we thought of to replace him and that was Lloyd. e were surprised that Yeovil accepted such a small fee for an international striker, but we are just delighted that he has rejoined.'

Chairman John Madejski said '£1million? We've been fcuking had'

Stay tuned to http://www.readingfc.co.uk for more reaction and a picture special from Lloyd's return.

Owusuuuuuuuuuuu

Assumption-"foreign" striker means somebody currently playing abroad otherwise it would have been "Premiership" or "Championship" striker.
Remember last season about us not signing "foreigners" because of the time they take to settle to the pace of our game so why weren't we bidding (and don't tell me that the club were suddenly surprised by the Kitson move)for this player back in May when he could have had 2 months to fit in or in June if he was playing in the Euros?

I really do feel at times that our club is run in a very amateurish way-that may appeal to some people but I have to admit to preferring a professional set-up and a genuine desire to play at the highest level.

BR, the guy coming in will almost certainly be Irish. OK the football over there or in the SPL is DUMP but in terms of settling in etc it shouldn't be too difficult.
