JK is the type of unpredicatable player that when things are going well everyone will love his unorthodox approach, however when things aren't going so well he will be the boo boys first target...

Much like Oster was...

I'm in the 'give JK a chance' camp...let's just wait and see hey :D

I can't believe how much stick he's been getting after only starting one game for us!! I've not seen much of him, but it sounds like he's had a great pre-season and I'm definitely up for giving him a chance. After all, Harps did say he could be the next Thierry Henry
Come on Jimmy!!

When did everyone "love" Oster's unorthodox approach?

1) I don't think Oster could be described as "unorthodox"
2) He was never loved, not even for the briefest period.

I have a sneaky suspicion that he might actually be quite good this season

DISCLAIMER: In the event that he is actually shite, then the above comment was made out of hope, and if he is shite I reserve the right to say I was right about him, as well as say I thought he would be quite good if that turns out ot be the case.

Agree with schards.I have seen him twice pre season and he is a much better prospect than Oster.
I think he will get better the more he plays.

If we look to the past. Sonko was woeful when he first started playing and then went on (albeit for 2 season) to play extremely well.

For the sake of our prospects next season, I just hope he comes through as we donl't really have another viable option in that position at the moment and the club are not making any noises about signing a replacement...let alone anyone else.

Oster was a better player who never produced and just didn't seem to want to attack much. I think Kebe will be more effective because he is keen to make attacking runs and take players on.

The important thing about Kebe is when he does attack, will he be able to stay upright and keep control of the ball. That's what I have my doubts over.

Against most of the left backs in the Championship he will be too quick so it will just need to punt past them and run. He will do well.

It's when you come up against Premiership defenders who can match the pace he will struggle, but hopefully come next August his game will have moved on a bit and he will be OK.
