RoyalBird Sonko for me today, with Rosenior not too far behind. Can't see why people reckon Moussi was a gem though, thought he was bollocks.

I thought Moussi was the best player on the field :?

Only thing he did was deciding to do long range shots, one which smacked Sonko right in the head, and others missing the target or straight into hahnemann's hands.

TBF, Harper didn't look any different to how he did in a large proportion of games last season.

thats not true or fair

even at his most anonymous at the very least we got 110 percent commitment, endless running and harrying etc

we didnt even see that today

Sorry - that was a typical Harper performance for when we get outmuscled in midfield.

The big worry is that it's now happening in the CCC rather than the Prem.

Reading MOM: Sonko
He was definately trying his best and even after a rifled shot to his head he managed to stay sharp and solid.
Good to see him (almost) back to his old form.
Also thought Rosenior and Kebe were decent.
Shunt was sh** at left back. I was confused why he took our right corners, when he then had to sprint back to his original position at left-back. A suicidal decision to have him taking corners. Convey looked much better at crossing.

Forest MOM: McGugan
I thought he was consistant throughout the game - although he wasn't as hyped up by the commentators. Moosey was just a huge French midfielder with a powerful shot - I didn't particularly feel he was amazing. McGugan continued to put in good crosses and make good passes. I liked him.

Matejovsky's injury is a major blow - although it could be good in the long run as it could mean that Coppell will have to buy a player to replace him.

Steve Coppell t's ironic, you look at midfield in the summer we had Brynjar, Marek, Harper, it was healthy but now we look a bit skinny in there.

Hopefully, that indicated he'll dip into the transfer market.

Was also shocked to see that Long got a place on the bench ahead of N Hunt and Kelly got a place ahead of Karacan - how did they manage to earn their place on the bench?

Unless i've missed any injuries?

Yeah, I agree. I remember him making... two tackles, neither of which worked.

:( And Coppell is too loyal to replace him with Karacan.

That's interesting. I never really thought about that because Shorey used to take a lot of corners anyway, but it is true that he had to sprint back a lot.

Harper captain, followed by 4 arguements between the players inside the first 15mins. He was utterly atrocious, LOL @ anyone considering offering £5million for him, save the cash, take Moussi and get yourself a proper midfielder.

MOTM was Moussi of Forest, Morgan 2nd, then Rosenior for Reading with Sonko probably 4th. Sonko was utterly awful in the first half then superb in the 2nd half.

After the calamity of the first minute where Ivar and Sonko went for the same ball and collided nearly letting Forest in on goal Sonko settled down and despite nearly scoring an own goal he was looking to be involved and was back to being a bit like he used to be.
Mind you with Forest playing with one striker neither he nor Ivar had a difficult game.
In a game where we only had 39% of the possession it's difficult to pick anybody as Man of the match but I suppose Doyle for his constant running and a decent effort with the only chance of the game would be my choice.

I'd have to go with either Rosenior or Sonko. Harper's performance smacks of someone trying to not get a knock due to potential transfer!

Schards#2 ^ agreed. We also need a captain out there who will yell, direct, point, keep heads up. We haven't got one while Murty is not playing.

To be fair, Harper does do an awful lot of pointing!

I thought Rosenior and Sonko looked quite good for us. Ahead of the defensive the others were pretty much anonymous and the only decent cross into the box was by our stand in left back!

Shocking performance all round.

Alot of people around me were laughing at Sonko saying how bad he is but everyone knows he can't pass a ball. On the other hand he made some key headers today.

Slightly more ambition shown, Lita, Doyle trying to get in down the right wing. Sonko - if he manages to stay consistant, keep his place and not get sent off - should get back to his best. Convey actually battled for a change. Harps - still content to let opposition players run around him. Sonko looked like he wanted it more today. MOM - shouldn't be compulsary as no one really shone today.

juanpablo
kwik-silva
brendywendy 'greed-imperious again.

'greed with moussi too-why the feck havent we bought someone like him......yet

because we have no ambition, as stated 40,000 times! However I agree with those as well

ambition??

300,000 and played most his football in lower leagues in France

they have got lucky with a real gem it happens.. (even to us)

A guy from the lower french league that made Harper look like a cock - as did the 19 year old McGugan who came through the academy - and we want £4m for Harper!!!???- He showed today why no one will buy him - Even as captain, he had no leadership qualities and hid from his responsibilities - He even wore the captains armband around his leg !!!

Harper should be embarrassed that he got totally found out (yet again) today by these two forest players - are any of the Harper fan club on here ever going to concede that the guy flatters to deceive and isnt really very good??

Between Sonko, Harper and Convey for me.

Sonko was the most obvious though so he gets it IMO. Welcome back, although he'd have given at least 1 penalty away if that was in the prem.
