Blue and White Toucan According to Tim Dellor on BBCRB this morning he quoted Hammond as saying we will sign 1 player permanently and 2 players on loan this week.

I'll be happy with 1 permanent signing but don't want loanies.

Have you ever heard of making loan signings permanant? Like, oh I don't know. Little, Hahnemann, Bikey.

Wouldn't mine having Arsenal youngster Armand Traore on loan, isn't he a left back? Not sure Arsenal would let him go though?

But only if our bid for Fabregas fails. Money's tight, squirt.

I reckon that would be a new left back plus a midfielder and right winger on loan for up to 3 months....

anyone else confirm they heard this, because EP this morning quotes coppell as saying he hopes to have a LB in b4 the weekend (did'nt he say that last weekend  ?)...he also says that will likely be the last signing we make(but not definately).

I also heard Hammond on the radio - he is in talks with someone over a permanent deal and is hoping to hear early next week on a couple of loan deals. He referred to the left back position but nothing else.

In the Reading Chronicle it says

It is believed Reading are considering a loan move for Arsenal’s impressive youngster, Kieron Gibbs, and they also like Leicester City’s Joe Mattock.

http://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/articles/2/4000

Still just rumour though. Nothing concrete.

Says in the EP that the Mattock rumour is rubbish and not gonna happen.

Oh and isn't Gibbs a winger?

No left backs at the club, at least 3 decent central midfielders. Yes, of course we need a central midfielder almost as much.

If Scott Griffths doesn't play tonight, then we know who it is.
