Southbank Old Boy That would be great excuse for us not getting in a replacement though.
Non-commital statement from the club saying how unavoidable circumstances resulting in key targets falling through and so we're happy with what we're left with, ie Hunt or Rosenoir at left back
Interestingly there was an interview on BBC Berks last night with Nicky Hammond. In that he kind of said that Coppell was happy to play either of the above at left back but that they're working behind the scenes to give him further alternatives. The way he said it was as if they were having to work hard to convince Coppell that there was a left back out there good enough and available.

Did he really say that about Rosenior ? Kelly or Hunt maybe but I don't recall him mentioning Rosenior. As a right footer he looked out of his depth at right midfield let alone left back.

Chuckle Brother So is it fair to say the general consensus then is that there are probably some half hearted moves going on in the background but they are getting their excuses in early for if/when it doesn't happen ?

Um, did we actually get Mensah and Brown?
Anyone can put a huge bid in and look ambitious. We weren't able to bring said players here when one (Mensah) clearly was desperate to come over.
Making a bid is easy, anyone can do it, even you.

Given that we didn't sign the first two ...
