rg6royal Hahnemann
Rosenier Sonko Bikey Surman
Kebe Matejovsky karacan S.Hunt
Doyle N.Hunt

:D

On the same page but I think Watson would be a great buy - so like Sidwell (nothing to do with ginger!)

I still think that Lita will come good

Surman will hopefully be the new midfielder we have been looking for and not the new left back we have been looking for.

sky+ the championship this morning as i had football training. southampton as the featured game, and surman is playing left back. so he does actually play there then?i thought it was just the usual take someone and play him out of position story.

am i right in thinking he takes a mean free kick too?

I have been going on about this player for 2 years now and would be delighted if he came to us.
He is not a full-back and is a left-sided midfielder not with great pace but a good touch on the ball and is a very good passer.
He is the son of a friend of a friend but my friend is on holiday and I don't know Andy's dad well enough to find out whether there is anything in this.
It would make up just a bit for not getting Walcott as a youngster as this lad has come through the ranks at Southampton and to come to us would show how we stand when compared to a big club.

LOL @ everyone hoping this is true.

Even if Harper is sold as well, we still wont buy anyone for that money at this level...yet.

having seen Saints a few times, i have to say that "he's not all that and a bag of chips"

Not strong in the tackle, not very quick, but he is mobile and can spot a pass

Hasnt been in the U21's for quite a while. Possibly would look good in the FAPL where its less competitive and more cultured than the Championship.

£2.5m is a lot of money for someone still unproven. A lot of people have looked at him as Saints always produce good youngsters, but the fact he is still there speaks volumes.

They need the cash, so i reckon, if SSCwants him, we could get him for less than £2m

Interesting twist this one.

Always liked the look of him as he's a very tidy player although I've not seen him play at left back at all.

If he was merely a replacement for Harper I'd be a little concerned but if he's coming in to supplement the current squad then that'd be great.

Would be a good signing for us but i'm not sure about him playing LB
Seen him play a few times but thats always been in midfield and he has looked good
Surprised no premiership teams have signed him

He's kind of like a clone of Shorey and Stuart Downing (IE good quality but lacking real pace ) from what I've seen of him but the key issue for me is he's a very good passer of the ball which we lack at the moment.

Would still prefer Adam Johnson at Boro though not sure how realistic that is.

Reports say that Hammond was sat in the directors box during their recent home game against Brum! There could well be some truth in this rumour....
