rg6royal Again, Coppell Doesn't like players who don't want to be here and by the sounds of it Doyle doesn't. So I won't be surprised if he does go.

Again...Shorey....Sidwell....Sonko perhaps?

.....the whole lot of them if they could find a way out

It seems Sonko is happy here now and long may it continue.

The point being that he didn't want to be here, and even said as much to the press, but Coppell seemed happy enough to keep him around.

Due to his pish form last season, no-one else wanted him. Is it any surprise he's still here.

I might say the same about Harper, but only once the transfer window has closed.

There was speculation that a couple of the promoted teams were poised to make a bid.

Maybe just agent/paper talk, but if Coppell wanted him out then I'm sure there could've been a way out in the price was set to encourage bids.

I think maybe that speculation was the word.

Lita is good on the ball and is strong that is all. Maybe he should play just behind N.Hunt. That would be good.

For the second week running Shane Long provided more of an attacking threat in 10 minutes (when we were also down to 10 men) than Doyle did in the previous 80.

I am going off Doyle. He seems to be just going through the motions until he is allowed to leave.

No striker deliberately misses chances or doesn't make an effort when the balls in the box, its not an effort issue, he is just crap. Plain and simple. He was crap all last season, been crap 3 games out of 3 this season, sell him IMO.

No it is an effort issue. He no longer seems to look for space, he has lost his zip, lacks creativity - he did have all these attributes. He is certainly not crap.

I don;t think it is one thing, but a combination of many things

1 - He has eyes only for the Premiership and is not motivated at Chapmionship level anymore

2 - He is no longer the surprise package and everyone is aware of him as one of the highest profile strikers in the Championhip

3 - He has been found out and the opposition know how to play him

4 - He is not getting anywhere near good enough service from out midfield

5 - With only 2 goals in the last 8 months, he is seriously lacking in confidence.

6 - He knows he will not be droped from the starting line up however badly he plays and dare I say it, might be a little complacent.

That supposed £7million from VIlla is looking more attractive with every game....not that we will replace him.

Unusually for one of your posts I cannot find fault with any of that.

But he misses chance after chance these days, like the whole of last season. A good striker goes off form and then has the grit and balls to work on it and start scoring again. He is getting worse and worse. There is no room for fragile personality players with no confidence in this game.

I can only think of two clear cut chances this season - one was superbly saved at Forest and the other early today he snatched at. He used to create things, he had a spark, he took players on, he had a great first touch - it has all deserted him.

I think a new challenge would be best for Doyle and us on current form.

He lost it when his hamstring snapped like an elastic band... it's not coming back and unfortunately I think that that was the centre of his games, beating players with pace and not skill..
