Easy.

Other club: Hello, I bid £8m for Kevin Doyle.
Coppell: He isn't for sale, good day.
*Click.

Some might argue that any player has his price - I would argue that if Coppell can't identify any replacements, then we shouldn't let him go.

Stooper God, all the people that were slagging Doyle off this week are going to back track so much this evening

He has deserved criticism, today he deserves plaudits.

Any other subs, apart from Hunt for Long?

Don't think so.

Couldn't see Doyle finding the confidence to put a goal away, but now he's managed it he'll be fine. Coppell's perserverance pays off. But Long will be lucky to keep his place.

I agree, but you know what some nobbers are like. The sun is going to have shone out of his arse and they'd never have a word said against him ever

Overall it sounded like a decent performance highlighted by some shoddy Palace defending. Good for Doyle - if there's any way to end a drought...

On the Palace penalty - commentators said that the handball looked incidental but since Harper had his arms out it had to be given. Doesn't everyone know that Harper has a medical condition that forces his arms out like a crab? He should be given a note allowing that...

Job done. Will enjoy my beer too!

Will be interesting to get an assessment of Karacan, Pierce, and Armstrong from those that attended.

Sounds like we need to work on our defending as well.

Sounded a bit too easy for Palace's second.

Still, I'm not going to get all negative tonight.

4 goals. 3 points. And sounded like a decent performance. Let's get this season started!

Pearce sounded outstanding from radio. Karacan also good. Armstrong reasonable. But thats just radio.

Speroni sounded like he kept it from being a cricket score, but had a real issue with corners in the second half.

Woodcote wont be happy, Doyle and Lita did not both start, so he will have to keep attending games now, and just after i offered him a tenner for his ST, and two young ones started, his veins will be bulging like The Hulk, still think Coppell out WR??

15 goals in 5 games since the Forest game. Just need to sort the defence out again (although Palace's penalty apparently) harsh - as above, will be good to get feedback on Pearce's performance. Karacan too, because I sense Coppell will be looking for an excuse to bring Cisse back.
