After signing Mooney it was obvious that one of the other 4 strikers was going to leave. Lita has had his chance at Reading and thrown away the opportunity with his off field antics.

One day he'll be a great player when he matures.......

'greed

He is is still young and has a future ahead of him but I don't believe that it's at Reading.

Have to say I agree - Doyles words were along the lines of ' Of course I want to play at the top level with a big club'

and ' its up to the clubs to sort it out now'

Not at all confident that he will be with us come midnight Monday

Lita's performances have been terrible so far this season.

I just think he was dropped.

I don't know why Long started. Whenever he starts he is poor and that was proven today.

Anything £2m and over will do nicely.

I heard that Cork City wanted him as they don't currently have a striker (or many players...)

Coppell was fairly cagey when asked about lita, but then Coppell always seems to be cagey about strikers.

And he made perfectly good points that these days it's almost impossible to just tell a player they can't leave when clubs are trying to throw money at them. Agents hold you to ransom with threats and hints about unhappy players not playing.

Didn't hear DOyle interview, but if thats all he said it's hardly anymore worrying than anything else. What player isn't going to say they want to play at the top level and it's up to other clubs to come for him.

Pompey have Defoe, and striker with exactly the same game as Lita, who does it better. Then there's Crouch, and as capable back ups Kanu and maybe Nugent. I can't see them spending that amount of money on a player they really don't need- they have no remaining money to spend.

Newcastle? See what I wrote for Defoe, except multiply that by about eleventy zillion. Owen, plus Martins, plus Viduka, PLUS Smith. No room for Leroy there.

Spurs? Never.

United on the other hand are desparate for a striker like Lita

So, let me get this right.

We play the youth players that we've been asking for for a while.

We drop the biggest white elephant at the club (ever?) for two hard working strikers

We score 4 goals and get a nice, solid home win.

8)

No complaints from M4, that is for sure.
