Smoking Kills Dancing Doe It's funny thinking about how many times Coppell said Championship clubs didn't sell their best players when we were in the Premiership.

We've kept Doyle, Hahnemann, Harper, Matejovsky and Bikey so far amongst others.

Compare that to Little (great but permainjured), Kitson (great but injury prone and disruptive), Sonko (not the player he was and a liability in the prem) and Shorey (wanted out for the last year and not a good idea to try and keep).

Also we're a slightly different case as we're a recently relegated club more than we are a Championship club in that case. The only transfer where not selling would have been especially useful to us we made the prem team pay through the nose.

Tend to think the dressing room "dissenters" have now departed with the departure of Kitson, Shorey, Fae and to a lesser extent Sonko, the mood on the pitch over the last couple of games has looked better, when we have scored everyone has joined in the celebration, so it looks as though harmony has been restored and to that end I tend to think that the only one that will go will be Lita, he has publicly had his spat so who knows whats gone on behind closed doors, I am with Arch on this if he goes who cares ??

no times?

once?

how many?

then i can tell you if its funny or not

Numerous times, in the press and at fans forums.

Don't disagree with our policy of selling players who don't want to be here, just frustrating that the likes of Stoke could attract Kitson, while we the best we could do from the Championship was Halford or Seol. I know we tried to get Lescott, but we never had a chance did we?

With brendywendy on this one - hate the bloody thing.

Anyway.

Out - Leroy to Hull. Fee? Undisclosed of course (or 15 Bentleys for JM for a guess)

(and no I am not serious - about the Bentleys)

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe We certainly won't buy anyone.

Doyle to go, we have to hope that's all.

Our transfer policy is so backward.

Oh and an interview from Coppell saying we didn't have time to sign replacements.

I think you're right that we need to hope Doyle is the only one ( would be very pleased to get 7 figures for Lita, though) but I would take the "no time to sign anyone" with a modest pinch of salt.

I'm having a hard time believing that there's no contingency for losing 2 strikers tomorrow and would see a loan as a distinct possibility. Either that or, Lita's not going anywhere and was just dropped for Palace.

Harper and Hunt are the ones I think we really need to hang onto and would be quite happy for the wage structure to be busted wide open to keep them whilst we still have the parachute money.

Should we lose no one, I'm happy with what we've got with Pearce, Karacan, Goldbourne and maybe one or 2 others being significant members of the squad.

Lita to Pompey and we get Nugent. Okay, just wishing I know. Lita to go. No other business

Thats swap deal wouldn't be too bad tbh.

Nugent is an established Championship striker so would be a good bit of business.

The only real disruption Kitson caused was his bust up with Shorey- and that was because Shorey was being disruptive

How long has Doyle got left on his contract ?

I hope we do a Fergie, by insisting he stays, OK, toys will leave prams, but tell him he is staying.. end of..

They could even offer him the "if we are not challenging for promotion come Jan, we won't stand in your way".

If Coppell makes Doyle stay then I doubt Doyle will throw the toys out the pram as he isn't that kind of bloke. i.e typical footballer

I make you right, he does come across as not the typical player.

I'd like SC to put his foot down and say he is not moving end of..

If Doyle can get the goals he's capable of, then the money we turn down might be paid into the clubs bank in the way of promotion.

Doyle will be walking on cloud 9 after yesterdays game, I hope we do the sensible thing and realise we've sold enough, do what Zammo from Grange Hill said "Just say no" !!

Do me a favour, we've already seen what speculation and unrest does to Doyle's scoring habits.

I heard the bit about his mobile breaking and it would be Tuesday by the time he got a new one.

Still think Lita might go - hope it's only Lita anyway.

We might get someone else in - a midfielder perhaps?

Arch Confident Harper won't go; less confident about Doyle; couldn't give a flying one about Lita - if he goes good luck to him, if he stays he may yet do us some good.

In? Nobody.

exactly what i think

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, I love the last day of the transfer window.

FWIW, I think Harper and Lita will go, and we'll bring in either Watson or Soares.

Think we'll lose a striker.

Hoping it's lita, dreading that it might be doyle.

Nobody in.

Maybe one out, maybe one in - don't know just want it shut.

If the window has to stay then it should shut on July 31st rather than the end of August, that way the club and the fans know the sqaud they have until Jan at least rather than having disruption during the first couple of weeks of the season.
