id say the odds, based on our previous actions during all of the previous windows, would be absolutley massive on that bet.
a huge outsider is more accurate

I think it is much more to the point of who we are going to SELL.
For the first time since 1995 we are now officially (by our Summer record) a selling club,a bit like other ex-Prem clubs like Norwich,Ipswich,Southampton but not like Birmingham,Sheff Utd and Wolves who all seem determined to get back up again.

If we're no more than mid-table fodder come January then I expect to wave goodbye to S.Hunt, maybe even Doyle depending how he gets on this season.

If we're in the top 8 then there's no way we'll sell anyone deemed important to us. If we did sell, Madejski would be in for some serious treatment that's for sure.

In an ideal world we would strengthen the team, and only let those go that aren't featuring. (Gunnarsson possibly, Sodje)

If someone bids £5M for Hunt we won't have any choice in the matter.

Well yes, taking into account his release clause. You would hope the Reading management would know well in hand that he would be off and at least half of that money would go into a replacement. Probably not.
