The best bit of the article is this bit though

Hunt agrees with boss Steve Coppell’s call for the use of video evidence as a result but within strict limitations.

“Only goal-line technology,” he said. “I wouldn’t like to see it anywhere else to be honest with you."

I can't figure out where he's agreed with video evidence from that

Was just about to comment on this, I know we have the respect he ref thing going on, but that decision was just plain incompetence. The (we know absolutely)FA´s rules are so without any room for movement that it apperas Boothroyd will probably be charged. This on the same day that Croatia are fined a whopping 15grand for racially abusing a player.

Completely agree. I was wondering if the Watford players would get their yellow cards rescinded for the arguments following the 'goal', my guess is they won't.

I didn't understand the Boothroyd sending off though - as I thought it was in the second half - or at least it seemed ages after we'd scored. So I thought he was sent off for arguing about something else.

he was - I think it was about a throw or something to do with the multiball.

However if he hadn´t been so incensed about the previous decision then he probably wouldn´t have got so involved. He´s probably seen another crap decision and just thought ¨this linesman´s an idiot¨and decided to tell him so. Probably in slightly stronger words though.

On another issue, I don´t think that yellow cards can be rescinded, which is another example of the total inflexibility of the (we know absolutley)FA.

Will Reading do the honourable thing and give Watford a goal head start in the return fixture?

Reading will give Watford a goal when Mourinho and Chelsea apologise for their incorrect comments re Cech and the ambulance staff.

Hey, this thread has nothing to do with Chelsea or the Premier League. Please keep to topic.

Sorry to rise to the bait but...

As long as they give us one back for Bikey's disallowed goal, plus someone upends Armstrong for another penalty that the ref didn't have the heart/nerve to give.

I reckon once all of the disputed/ blatantly wrong decisions from that game are sorted out, the score would be about 6-6 and there would be about 25 minutes to play.

Shit happens..get on with it.

...about 4-2 to us - I don't recall Watford being denied any penalties, etc.

If the Ref wanted to even out his mistake he could have just blown for a penalty at the start of the second half and kept blowing for penalties until Watford scored one.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Imagine this scenario.... Reading are awarded a goal, the opposition protest that it wasn't a goal, the Reading players agree it wasn't a goal as they didn't get a good view so they allow the opposition to walk one into the net, end result is a 1-1 draw. Replays later show that it was a goal and the linesman got it right.

Reading later get relegated/miss out on promotion by 2 points

I see that Ronaldo dived for his penalty and scored. Apparently constroversial. Maybe Manchester United should have let them walk a goal in for that dodgy decision or maybe replay the game? Thought not.

He didn't dive from the clip I've seen.

But other than that - yes, this may have happened.

It didn't look like he dived to me either. Why is everyone saying it wasn't a penalty? I just want to know.

Er, because it clearly wasn't a foul.

The ball was won cleanly, Ronaldo fell over. That does not make it a penalty.
