Avon Royal LOL at anyone who thinks that Doyle or Stephen Hunt will be playing for Reading after January.

From Despair To Where? As an aside, I'll be amazed if Noel Hunt doesn't get into Trap's next squad when you consider the main competition for the third striker's position consists of Stephen Eliott, Anthony Stokes, Clinton Morrison and Shane Long who are all, let's be honest, a bit crap. The Irish papers were slating Robbie Keane's contribution after the Georgia game, suggesting that Doyle is the main man. I can see Noel being an excellent foil for Doyle at international level, especially considering they are forming a good partnership at club level. That Friday Feeling Spoke to him after the match today. He played with a stinking cold.

howser The way that Hunt has started this season will no doubt create a lot of interest with Premiership sides that have shown an interest in him in the past, but good luck to the wee fella, he has been the brunt of many insults on some of these threads, ironically now he may be off in january, he is the sites "hero" !. Have always liked his massive work rate and enthusiasm he has earnt the right to play at the top level. It is now the time for the club to press forward with the promising start we have made to the season and if we are in the top two or threatening to get a top two finish to the season then he may have a change of heart and see the season through. Whichever way he chooses we cant complain as he has given everything for the team since he has been here.

skipper Footballers are so short sited.
Kitson left to play prem football, but i fully expect him to be playing in the Championship next season. If Hunt goes though Everton wont get relegated, will he be automatic first choice? Sidwell isnt forst choice at Aston Villa.
He can say what he likes, but he has'nt played a full game in any league since leaving us. Im sure Hunt can better that, but why dosnt he just play in a good team whom are playing well and try and achieve some thing with the big boys next year?
Kitson left after a poor ish seaon with us last season, he's gone straight into the same dilema with Stoke - he's not going to get 20 in a season ever again, was it really worth jumping ship? He's a pro, and he wants to be adored and score goals. He got both at Reading.
Forsight needed! I realise we arnt the best paying club, but i genuinly feel we offer a bloody attractive place to generate a career in football with as many ups as lows and good times.
And lets be honest - though they tought it would affect their international call ups. It hasnt!
