BR2 His statue can go alongside that of other great managers like Maurice Evans.........or will there just be a small plaque that can easily be missed somewhere near the ticket office?

Your attempted dig at the club would have been more effective if Maurice Evans' family had not themselves asked that any permanent memorial to him should be a discreet one, in keeping with the personality of the man himself.

I don't remember that but fair enough if that really was the case.
Mind you there is discrete and discrete-his plaque is almost hidden.

It really isn't. The only way it could be easier to see would be if it had a sign indicating where it was, which sort of defeats the object.

He dreamt that she did that...to him?

Called him a bald gnome?

I'm going to kick his face in, then hers, then his again.
Then hers.

i used to be quite handy with playdoh. but sadly, my favorite rollingpin was thrown away, and my sculpting has never been the same.

Why don't we get a brick with his name on. We could put it together with lots of other bricks with names on and make a wall. And charge an extortionate amount. Who's with me?

Maybe we could do stars with names on the ground like in Hollywood by way of tribute...

Caskey by the "refreshment" stand.
Archie on the penalty spot.
4th official a few yards from the goal, just over the line.
Coppell in the trophy room.
Mr Mad as a revolving 80 ft star placed at strategic points throughout southern England.

I know. F off newbie.

Ooooo, ooooo, I've come over all wibbly wobbly at the thought of brendy rubbing the gnome's little baldy head.... ahem.

How about JM stumps up the cash for Damian Hirst to do one of his poncey arty creations - stick stiff Steve in a pot of formaldehyde or summat?

Or have him sculpted in papier mache with an installation of a real, live and pulse beating Nigella exposing her comely bossom in a faux way to keep Stevie's lugholes warm while nibbling on celery?

I'm going for a lay down. In a dark room.
