There have been so many times this season where he has given up too easily.

He isnt giving 100% - fact.

Could you imagine Long going for the header that Noel scored on Saturday - not in a million years.

He is a good squad player to come off the bench - nothing more at the moment.

Ok you're right - FACT

Nhunt got there because he is brave and good in the air. Long isn't. That doesn't mean he doesn't give 100 %. Nhunt's header was exceptional. Not everyone has that talent.

everyone knows lower case facts arent worth the espace theyre written on son

He gives about 80%. Shane Long in the Championship winning side gave 100%.

Now he thinks he is something he is not - and when things arent going well he throws the shirt on the floor.

Not really - bit disrespectful though.

The point is he is playing rubbish at the moment and should be 4th choice - between Doyle, N Hunt and Lita!

Lets be honest - the biggest cheer he got before Saturday was when his number came up on the 4th officials board.

I think that those of you regard N Hunt as being better in the air are wrong.
I am no great fan of Shane because I don't think he is much of a footballer but he does have a great spring and has scored a number of goals from headers-remember that game away at Derby when he scored very late in the game with a header?
The shame about both Noel and Shane in my view is that they can't hold the ball up when played from the back and their heading ability is only apparent when they attack the ball.
It does look as though Noel has better awareness of what is going on around him but I wouldn't say that his effort is better than Shane's-regrettably effort alone only gets you so far at this level of football.

Wasnt the cheer for the 15 minutes previous concussed Noel Hunt who despite getting hit in the head scored a goal and continued battling for his beloved team?

Just a thought

 I think Hunt holds the ball up better than any of our strikers.

He's as strong as an ox.

You cant question longs work rate, attitude and desire thats what has made him into the player he is at this club, but i dont think he has the quality technique and ability to be competing at this level tbh.
Coppell must of seen different to have stuck with him in the squad for the last few years, but if lita didn't have any attitude and temperment problems he would be ahead of him in the pecking order definitely.
