Gordons Cumming They were discussing Church and some of his fellow U21's on Talksport this morning and said they could easily have started for the senior squad today.

Ian Royal Decent finishes, but woeful defending from England.
The finishes don't particularly impress me, though there is nothing wrong with them. What does, is the way Chuch pulls away from his marker for the second to give himself space to receive the ball.

Thames Simon Church looked quality, played the lone striker role as good as anyone ever has.
The first goal was a marvelous finish, he was so close to Joe Hart that if he had hit it above ground level it would have been saved. The second he really made out of nothing, a simple ball to feet, Simon Church completely fooled a Premiership defence and fired home.
CHURCH IS BETTER THAN SHANE LONG. FACT.

You're hard to please!
The second one needed a great first touch and it was. Then the cool finish. Superb!
