An important consideration for any party is the date. 10th March looks about right. None of that "messing around until the clocks have almost been put forward" this time.

Yeah, with Charlton at home, even a welcome to the Promotion Party would be extended to Mr Pardew.

Hooray!

I think the party plans need to be flexible so it can be turned into a relegation/midtable obscurity party.

Just to keep the less positive from having a fit...

Then again!

From the beginning of today we had

13,392,000 seconds
223,200 minutes
3720 hours
22 weeks

155 days until the 10th March.

I'm counting down the days.
Just think, as the weeks go by, we'll be getting closer to that Promotion.

Agreed.

But this thread is about as tongue in cheek as it is possible to get.

CMRoyal Far, far, FAR too early for threads like this.

coppell would agree!

one game at a time lads

The journos will hate him playing everything down like the last time round. We'll be 20 points clear and still it will be one game at a time.

Works a treat. The only way to keep this kind of form is to keep players feet on the ground. I remember the season we went up Sheff Utd had a great start and Warnock was giving it the big one about how no one would catch the. Coppell played it perfectly.

I hope Coppell doesn't pay any attention to the Championship table this year, so when we do go up, it's another fantastic surprise for him!!!
Another day closer to the Promotion Party!

That's the spirit, better to get the stock now whilst cheap, as opposed to next year when the prices will inevitably go up!

Maybe we should ask Madejski to give the speech earlier in the year, as his fee will probably rise once were promoted, but right now he'll be cheap as chips??!

As undoubtedly hilarious as this thread must be to its author, I wonder what impression it might give to opposition supporters who might be passing through - a bunch of complacent, egotistical twerps with ideas above their station, they might be forgiven for surmising. And in the case of the thread author they'd be just about right wouldn't they, so fair play.
