I would like to see Lita back. Him on the bench gives us something different.

Long has been poo all season and quality is required more so than effort. Reminds me of Andy Hughes.

I say keep him on loan scoring goals increasing his value.

By all reports mooney is a quality player and his height will give us more of different aspect to our attacking play so try him on the bench instead of long.

At the moment i would like to see Lita back. I wouldn't mind Mooney getting a couple of games too.

Think there's more chance of seeing Bikey play upfront than lIta

I can't say, because I missed the games, but wasn't Lita in the starting line up in our first few games? Wasn't he dropped for Long?

I do agree that Lita on form is very effetcive. But I also agree I can't remember him being on form for us in about 2 years.

He did start and he was dropped for being rubbish. I thought he was the more likely of him and Doyle to find the net if persisted with. Once Doyle got a decent partner though he got a hattrick.

I've made my feelings on this very clear indeed on several threads.

He HAS to come back and be part of the competition

1) Doyle and Nunt are doing well, yes, but what about when one of them gets injured?

2) What about when one of them gets suspended?

3) What about when one of them simply drops form, even for only one half?

4) What about when that particular pairing simply happens not to suit a particular opposition?

5) What if none of the above happens but they simply need SOME competition from somewhere, for godsakes???

We have no meaningful competition at the mo.

We have no scary off-the-bench firepower at the mo.

We're discussing Mooney, who may well be great one day but he isn't anywhere near that yet. We have Long who is so far proving not to be a starter in his own right. And we even have threads discussing kids we're so desperate.

We've already dropped points against teams partly for a total inability to add fresh legs up front.

Like I started saying on another thread TWO STRIKERS IS A JOKE ESPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE A PROVEN STRIKER BANGING IN GOALS FOR ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP SIDE.

The *only* reason I can think of for not bringing Lita back is the possibility that he totally destroys the morale behind the scenes and perhaps our change in fortunes has come from him being out the picture?? I don't actually necessarily believe this but am trying to be balanced.

Otherwise it's an abolsute no brainer. He simply must come back and be part of the crew that'll rock this division.

Spot on.

It is even more vital given the fact that Doyle will be gone in January.

Get Lita back and send Long on loan somewhere, he is the one who needs a run of games

But and this is the big but with this argument is, does Lita want to come back? Does he want to come back and just sit on the bench? If he doesn't and who would blame him if he doesn't, insisting that he comes back might not be the best thing given his *cough* rather volatile character ....

We can have him back at 24 hours notice so we might as well leave him at Norwich. At least he's playing.

Spot on. Lita needs games to improve his confidence and match fitness. As he can be recalled from his loan there is no harm in leaving him there.

Yep, lets force Norwich to return our 4th/5th choice striker, who has been next to useless for this club for nearly 2 years.

Even better, when he's back, send on loan our 3rd choice who, although invariably disappointing when starting, at least has a decent record from the bench, which is the best the rest can hope for until one of Doyle or Hunt get injured.

This great idea was brought to you from a typical source.

I'd rather have Andy Hughes upfront that Shane Long!
