You do talk some utter nonsense.
The club are expecting around 21,000 so far for the visit of Derby.
You're a pillock.

Ignore him.

According to him, the Derby game, possibly the toughest home game of the season so far, and against one of, if not the biggest club in the division, will be a lower than usual attendance. He's talking through the peep hole in his @rse.

Undefeated at home this season, in the thick of promotion race and yet interest is dropping off to such an extent that we might struggle to fill more than two-thirds of the ground for Saturday.

If we've sold 17k+ 2 days before the game how are we going to struggle to fill 16k seats ? I can't quite get my head round the maths there....

A sub 20k crowd does seem odd though, an away attendance of around 1000 also seems quite incredibly low

Got my ticket on my member card sorted. First home game for about 4 years. Can't wait 8)

Just hope all my trains are on time! I'll miss the game if I miss a connection.

Not, quite. The club were anticipating a crowd around the 21,000 mark. I guess we'll just have to see, but if you think Derby, whom have a strong away following, not to mention 30,000+ crowds at home, will only bring a mear 1300 or so, you're potty. And I would expect to see our home support start reducing unless our form also follows suit. 20,000 at least Saturday.

If the club were expecting 21,000 they would advertise it in order to create more demand for fear of losing out.

Well, personally speaking i have little interest in attending games at the Madejski. The reasons are many and have been documented at length on here.

However, i think for most people it is shear economics. A dad and his lad going to a game will cost little short of £50 for most people and that, by most people's measure, is a fair chunk of the family disposable income. No wonder so many are picking and choosing.

Hopefully, Doyle signing a new contract might tempt a few more to come on Saturday :) .

The first full house of the season will probably be home birmingham, last game of the year. If were still in the promotion hunt.

Yeppers, but many will still deny that cost is a big factor, those that can afford it often do without looking at the value, probably do the same with cars and other stuff they buy as well, still each to their own, recession, what recession.

I'll be very surprised if we get less than the low 20,000's tomorrow. It's a big game!

Looked pretty good when booking my ticket online this week. Can't see people staying away for this one. Maybe a lesser side, but not Derby.

That's Derby, worst ever Premiership side and current mid table Championship plodders ?

Can't see them being the sort of team that will get the waverer's to turn out for, not as if they've even got any name players these days.

However this is yet another time when we can sit back and feel it's all a bit surreal that we're worried about not getting 20k to a game - it must be my small club mentality but it seems a biggish number to me !

Agreed - especially as I'd imagaine any waverers with kids would be looking at the following three games due to the discounts available...

I wasn't gonna go, but the Doyler has convinced me around. I couldn't choose any seats on the East Stand and North wasn't particularly empty so I reckon 20,000 mark, maybe more, as per usual.

Spot on, particulary with the amount of live tv games too. Half price season ticket is no deal at all.

From TheRams.co.uk...

"...apparently, we've sold the 1300 tickets they sent to us, and there are another 1000 available on the day - i reckon we should take 2000 at least..."
