I doubt it.

Whatever the salary you get used to it and after a while it doesn't really mean anything. Professionalism, personal pride and a desire to win are what drive a bloke like Kitson - the last thing he'll be thinking of right now is "at least I've got more money than I would have had if I'd stayed at Reading".

And tomorrow he might be thinking "I'm glad to be playing at Old Trafford rather than at Bramall Lane".

OK. Let me re-phrase that, for your points are sound. Some comfort.

Is he really getting more money at Stoke for his rubbish performances?!

ALOL at the goal he scored in the league cup...only for the ref to rule it offside.

A competition between Kitson and Kebe....who will score the first goal for their new clubs?
My bet's on Kebe...overly optimistic!

Stoke are mid table after pretty much waisting £10m on Kits/Sonks/Tonge/Soares

Certainly an odd one.

And I believe I was one of the very few who called them as performing alright in the prem.

All the rumours I hear is that Tony Pulis has accepted Kitson is not going to fit into his system, he will always pick Sidibe in the "off the striker" role and Fuller's pace is required for that system. Therefore he will be sold, at a loss I would think, in January.

It's a shame, as most people who know about football accept he is a better player than both those other two...

Ian, I too thought Stoke would do alright, but it's a long way to go yet and they really do play awful football. Effective at times, but awful. Despite their reputation, good fans mostly and really get behind the team at The Brit..

4 places and 3 points above the relegation zone - they also haven't won a game away from home yet. A bit too early to turn the smugness on methinks...

Kitson out in Jan

by The 17 Bus » 25 Nov 2008 08:02

Mentioned on another thread, worries me a bit this one.

I can see Birmingham taking him on a loan to end of season with purchase clause on promotion, Philips is not getting any younger, and the rest are not firing them in.

I can see why it causes you much concern. :|

Really, apart from him not being a Stoke player if/when Stoke stay up, and we lost out on around £1.5m, who cares?
