I still think Rosenior is a classic wing back, not a right back as the defensive side of his game is not up to scratch. He is best at home bombing down the wing and getting to the byline before putting apoor ball in to the box.

However is does have lots of enthusiasm and energy and will always give his all, but I would prefer Murty back in the lineup.

couldnt really believe my eyes when i saw this thread. are you joking?! he had a shocking game on saturday fair enough but he has been one of best players this season, there is people round where i sit who seem to slate rosenior and when he makes a run and whips in a good ball or makes a tackle or comes to the away support at the end of a game suddenly there tail dissapears between their legs. rosenior is quality and dont get me wrong it will be great to see Murts back but he has got to win his place back just like when rosenior had to get his place of murts and he did. and if i remeber rightly murts seemed to get a bit of stick on here last season

It's just the traditional HNA inability to think in anything other than extremes.

rosenior has one bad game for a while and already were jumping on his back!. I agree at the fact his punts are predictable but dont start calling for him to be dropped already!!

i think it's generally the older generation who can't see in shades of grey, on hna at least. just as people grow more conservative, grumpy and irrational as they age, so they start to see football in extremes. so much for the benefits of experience. in my time watching reading, the only real moaners i've ever encountered have always been older people, and they've always been oxf*rd.

Maybe your theory is the problem with Wenger at the moment but it does not seem to have affected Scolari or Ferguson.
As for Rosenior I agree with the original post, he is simply not a very good footballer but is getting by with pace, athleticism and a good attitude. And I`m an old cnut.

Rosenior is the best we have available at the moment. He did not play well on Saturday but neither did plenty of others.

I can't actually believe how much rubbish gets spouted on this board. Was the Southampton game your first of the season or something? As it certainly looks like you basing it on that.

Roseinor has been one of our most consistant players so far this season. Usually his distrubution is very good, but like the whole team on Saturday they were all below par. If your sick of Rosenior's "look up and punt it down the line", what about starting a thread on Bikey's messing around at the back and SHunt's shocking first touch.

Maybe the answer to our issues on the right would be play a 3-5-2.

This gets Marek in the game and possibly behind the front two where I think he's best, Rosenior can play right wing back and it suits Stretch two, who has played left wing in the past.

I seem to recall a few weeks ago a lot of people saying that Murts is never going to get back in the team cos Rosie is so good etc.
He's had two bad games: Charlton and S'ton, that's all, aside from those two, in general he's done well defensively and he's been linking up well with Kebe and has had a hand in several of our goals. Imo he's been one of our most consistent performers this season.

I don't understand, why after just ONE really bad home performance, most of you are digging at the players for the way they play! Before the match on Saturday, you were all going on about how good the team is, how solid we are, yet when ONE slip up occures, you're quick to point the finger of blame. If you want quality week in, week out, support one of the big 4! Although saying that, none of them were quality this weekend
After Derby match someone posted:
"Rosenior and Armstrong made a few very good last ditch tackles and they look to be doing well."
So there's always room to improve and it will be intresting to see if SSC makes any changes in tonight's line up.
