How did Rosenior play, after his shocking performance on Saturday?

Summariser on 5 Sports Extra seemed to think he did really well tonight.

Back from the game (before you ask how, I'm at Cardiff University so live locally)

Thought the result was a fair one, but it pleasing to see Reading play well under the circumstances. Armstrong had a lot trouble trying to deal with Routledge in the first half, and was having problems whenever Routledge cut inside or combined with the Comminges. To be honest, the defence was having problems throughout the first half, but then was completely solid in the second half.

Had to go in the cardiff end but got a good view of the Bikey red card. It wasn't a red card, a booking at most. Yes he did go in with the elbow and he did run half way across the pitch full pelt to try and win the ball, but it was a simple challenge of the ball, no malicious intent involved at all.

First goal for Cardiff was just a good move and good finish, nothing we could do. Our first goal was a great counter attack which came out of nowhere, really good work by Kebe to set up Doyle with a relatively easy finish. Second goal was annoying. Rosenior did a shocker of a clearance (the only mistake for him, but a huge one), which led to Hahnemann unable to catch it but messing it up and giving away a definite penalty. Our second goal again came out of nowhere, but was a class finish from some slack defending by the home team. Gunnarsson had a stormer of a game and should have deserved a third goal if it weren't for an excellent last ditch tackle on another counter attack. Certainly MOTM

Looking at some of this thread, I'm not sure why most people wanted Matejovsky on. We were up against it once Bikey was sent off and a point away was a good result in the end. Harper had a good game, as did Gunnarsson and putting Marek on would have blown it imho. Cardiff's attacks in the second half were weak and there was only one clear cut chance where they could have won it. And yes the referee was a shambles at time, couldn't control the players at all.

Could make the central midfield selection for the weekend interesting. How were the Reading fans?

Fans were in good voice from where I was, but was usually after Reading scored. Once Cardiff took the lead or were attacking, not much noise was made.

Cheers for that. Difficult to see the Bryn goal but Kebe did great for the first.

Just read Coppell's comments on the BBC, Referee said Bikey had thrown a punch?!?!        That truly is one of the worst decisions I have seen then as there was certainly no hand involved!!! A booking for going in with the elbow possibly, didn't deserve a red at all, but to say he saw a fist thrown shows how awful that ref was!!

We were great today. dont think we stayed quiet for more than a minute. at one point the "AHHHHHHHHH" bit got out of control and it went on for ages. Drowned out the welsh all game. few Reading were asked to leave by stewards for reasons im not to sure.

Cardiff fans sung "Wheres your cisse gone" when bikey had been sent off ALOL.

All in all, v good atmosphere from the away point of view. HTH

Just a guess, but if the Welsh can be deemed to be a race, then some of the chants were distinctly racist.
As the Stewards were also likely to be Welsh, perhaps mouthing off about the Welsh just in front of them wasn't such a good idea.

"Your Welsh and you thick aswell!"

Pretty decent atmosphere from Reading fans. The 13 and 14 year olds who spent the whole game watching the Reading fans stood there was embarrassing. LOL at Ninian Park being 'intimidating'.

Yeah a side foot volley coming across your body is a far harder finish than Doyle's, not that Doyle's was easy far from it.

Hmm, sounds like USA is having another set of mares. Two games in a row now and his closest competition is currently out on loan at Southend
