1960 That was Reading's cue to take control of the game. Moments after Stephen Hunt had stabbed wide from close range, James Harper cut a clever ball back from the by-line and Kalifa Cissé arrived at the edge of the box to bang it beneath Keiren Westwood and into the net. (The Guardian).

The Cube After ITV1's News at 10 there's a short regional news programme. The Thames Valley version after the Coventry game showed a caption with the score Reading 2 Coventry City 1. Now the caption having the wrong scoreline is by no means unusual but on this occasion the presenter also said that the final score was 2-1.
A few years ago, that programme would normally contain action from a midweek home game, at least from the first half. Not only is there now no action from any midweek game, they're regularly unable to get the score right from a match that finishes 45 minutes before the regional section of the programme starts.
