Smoking Kills Dancing Doe If he tells Coppell he wants to go

If he wanted to go, why did he sign a new contract?

IIRC, Everton don't have much if any money to spend in January...

I think to get a better deal for the club if he does go , but hope I'm proved wrong

Indeed; although I'm sure they would now love to get Doyle the fact they now have 2 crocked strikers on high wages suggests they will be very hard pushed to come up with £8m + £30k per week (ish) for someone like Doyle.

To secure his future earnings on a longer term and higher wage for starters.

Everton will have to get somebody in, so they'll have to free up some cash from somewhere, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they go for someone on loan as opposed to making a move for Doyle.

Me and you both know how much a contract means, espicially if all sorts of hidden clauses.

I'm not saying he wants to go, but if he does Coppell will let him.

Everton are as likely to go for Chris Iweulmo as for Doyle.

David Moyes = Scottish Manager; Chris Iweulmo = Scottish striker.....

Added to that, as Doyle is under a long term contract and we know that Everton will need a striker, any bid any £10M will be rejected out of hand.

That's what I thought, but locals are convinced Hunt is a done deal. :|

I = Fine with that. As long as they keep their dirty scouse mits off Doyle.

I agree, but we're left with Convey on the left. Unless Robson-Kanu can come in and earn a place, or we find a gem.

hunt will probably go if everton make a decent bid

doyle will stay imo. he is playing really well and signed a good contract. he owes the club a lot for giving him a chance and will see out the season and maybe leave then if we dont get promoted

We could always play Kebe in his favoured position....

Why would Doyle go to Everton ?

Really attractive, being brought in to cover for a few months until the main strikers are fit....

It's not as if Everton are likely to do much in the near future given the lack of cash there.

Doyle is absolutely better off staying put until the summer when he's likely to either be a Premiership player with us or the most sought after player in the Championship.

Also, Everton is a much 'bigger' club and just across the channel from Dublin ....

Everton are lining up a shock move for 37-year-old striker Henrik Larsson, who is a free agent after ending the Swedish season at Helsingborg. (Various)

Dumbing down of journalism
Everton need striker. Experienced striker out of contract. Not a shock, not even a surprise. Not even a story

This is true, and a good point, with Henry staking a claim on the right where he impressed last night, and it was good to see.

What if he gets injured in February?

What if, like last season, he goes on a barron spell and his stock falls and nobody comes in with a serious offer for him like this summer?

IF Everton were to come in with a suitable bid then Doyle would be very serious, even if he thought he might not get in the side every week. It's the chance to play for a top club who will consistently be playing in Europe and consistently in with a realistic chance of winning a something.

Did you say the same things about Kitson and Sidwell etc?
