Royal Rother Having watched football for several decades I would like to offer up the observation that reserve 'keepers very often play a series of absolute blinders when they finally get their chance through injury to the 1st choice.
Lack of consistency is often their eventual undoing but they do tend to do really well when first called upon.

bishbosh92 Im not sure
Hes a good keeper dont get me wrong, but the Defensive didnt have as much confidence with him like they do with Marcus in goal.
Or thats how it looked Tuesday anyway/

bishbosh92 Yh you have a point there m8.
Indeed he has had to wait so long for this shot, so lets hope that he proves himself.
As we cant afford to drop to many points.

Barry the bird boggler According to the website Reading are unable to recall Andersen from his short term loan and therefore SC will need to go with 5 outfield subs (apparently Kevin Doyle is useful as a keeper) or recall Ross Kittridge from work experience at Basingstoke.
Personally I'd chance it....

Hoop Blah He's not up to it.
Concedes far too many goals that a keeper at this level should prevent.

Royal Rother I am a fan but I thought there were some weaknesses today. 2 or 3 times he stayed on his line when I thought he could have come.
And when Cisse was dispossessed leading to their goal Federici was on the edge of the area so back-peddled rapidly but ended up nowhere near central thus giving Phillips an obvious target.
Having said that his kicking is fantastic. Early days but I don't think I've ever seen another 'keeper with better distribution. That is going to be an very decent weapon in these next few weeks.

He was in no mans land for Bents chance towards the end too
He looks like a keeper who is going to stick to his line and pull off saves as opposed to dominate his area, but it was good to see him claim a few dangerous crosses which he failed to do against Norwich

Chaney in no mans land?..you mean when he left his line expecting a header back to him from Inga? judging by your board name I would have thought that you might have a better knowledge of football
