rhroyal In most difficult fixtures this season our class has shown, such as against Wolves and Sheff Utd (who were flying at the time). I think we'll get a comfortable 2-0, we just have to make sure we don't waste points against teams like Southampton, Charlton, Ipswich, Watford and Nottm Forest.

Pity you didn't give that advice earlier. We'd be top of the league.

Play like we have been recently - a Birmingham win.

Play like we can do, ie. Bristol City away - Reading will win comfortably.

So I am going for a median draw.

Go for a 0-0 with about 2 shots on goal in the whole match.

A draw wouldn't be too bad for us as long as we beat Cardiff on Boxing Day and Brum lose to Ipswich. Hopefully when we do go 2nd, we'll be able to maintain 2nd spot throughout the season and put a stop to Wolves breaking our 106pt record! They're half way there

All the pressure in this fixture should be on Brums shoulders as even a loss would be no disaster for us.

Steve Coppell needs to look back at the side he picked that hammered Wolves 0-3.

I'm delighted that he seems prepared these days to rotate his impressive options in central midfield, and trust he will opt for a similar no nonsense variety as he did that night in the dump known as Wolverhampton.

Give Marek a day off, stick Harper and Karacan on the bench and start with Bryn and Cisse................these two not only offer the best protection for the back four, they're also the most likely to chip in with a vital goal.

Kebe will be missed but if Henry is considered good enough to be in the squad he has to be given his chance whilst the former finishes his ludicrous 3 match suspension (yet another nail in the coffin of the "respect" campaign :| )

Wholeheartedly agree too - I said in a previous post, that this game would be won by the team that controls central midfield , and I said any two of Gunnar, Cisse and Bikey would be ideal against Carsley and Quashie, who arent necessarily talented but are "in your face" players - For me, neither Marek or Harper would win that battle, but Gunnar/Cisse/Bikey would. If we go with any other players we will lose

I'm watching it. My girlfriend is watching. It is written thus ...

2-0 up then aliens invade

or 4-0 mullering with own goals and keeper errors. And Quashie scoring, running off to reveal he's wearing a T-shirt "Whose the best team in the League now?". :|

How cheesy/corny would it be if he would...not only are we not the best team in the league atm (the table does not lie), wolves are currently the best team in the league, so Quashie revealing a shirt like that would be embarrassing. Would've understood it more, if he did that against Wolves...even that they didn't win. We will turn up with the same attitude we had when we played Bristol City away and beat Brum.

Errr - I think you'll find he's referring to when Quashie "used" to play for the best team in the league - eg Southampton

Head says 1-0 to B'ham.

Heart wants to say that realistically we can get a 2-1 victory (Doyle & Harper), but isn't convinced.

And now we've just found out that Mike "Hunt" Dean is reffing. So I predict lots of yellows and most probably a Reading player getting sent off. Probably Cisse.

Then we'll lose 2-0

God I hate Mike Dean

Not that "Bikey in midfield" old chestnut again

Some of us have been saying for a very long time that he could do a great job holding in the centre and the day it happens there will be some serious cases of egg on face in these parts :P

Having said that, I don't think SC will be up for risking another red card on our travels just yet.
