It is absolutely ridiculous to apportion any blame to harps for the goal.

He played a pass 60 yards from our goal. Birmingham still had to win the ball and then beat our whole defence and Cisse.

Doobs shouldn’t have backed off and Cisse shouldn’t have dwelled on the ball. Harps was quite average yesterday but imo he is no way to blame for the goal.

Why bother with the crumbs on the table. The plate was full!!!

Possibly the mistake was (insert) but why the over analysis. We won the game by a convincing margin. Naturally the win was a bonus. Most would realistically have thought a draw was the expected outcome. Sometimes the team are infallable, it can. but rarely happens.

Because some numpty's are suggesting a player is at fault when he's done nothing wrong

When that player is already being slated by many it's worth pointing out when the guy's being wrongly blamed for something

If it's not countered people will believe it

I'm not Harper's biggest fan, but I completely agree with SOB. Harper is in no way to blame, and had a good game yesterday.

The Ingi and Doobs CD pairing looked fantastic.Shunty was at his pocket rocket best and an all round fantastic team effort by the lads in orange.
Cisse looked like he would grace any side and got my motm NOD.
To have hammered Brum and Wolves convincingly on their own patches is a tad healthy to put it mildly. We just need to keep feet firmly on the pedal when up against the lesser lights in the league. That result will make crimbo all the sweeter.
Just need to send Cardiffs penalty claim kings back over the severn bridge muttering "whats occuring" following a sound ramming at the madhouse on boxing day.

Federici - 7 Good distribution and made a couple of important saves. Deserves his chance.
Rosenior - 7 Did what he had to pretty well
Duberry - 8 Perhaps should've got closer to Phillips for the goal but otherwise outstanding
Ingimarsson - 7 Not quite as assured as his centre back partner but again did what he had to
Armstrong - 7 Was quite impressed with him as he looked solid
Henry - 6 Didn't do much for me apart from the ball he flashed across goal to S Hunt in the first half
Harper - 5 Gave the ball away more than he kept it and adds nothing
Cisse - 8 Brilliant performance, at fault for their goal but scored one and was otherwise dominant
S Hunt - 7 Great ball in for Doyle's goal, otherwise pretty quiet but efficient
Doyle - 8 Took his goal well and never stopped running and causing problems
N Hunt - 7 Great free kick, looked dangerous before he had to come off

Long - 5 Did nothing apart from foul and get caught with the ball. Disappointing that he's got worse over the years if anything
Gunnarsson - 6 Didn't have much time to make an impact but was assured and effective

I actually think that's quite fair - an extra mark for A Fed and Harper, though

Plymouth_Royal doobs - 6.5 ...didnt look comfortable
harper - 8 . great performance

oh please!!!

lol dont know what game you were watching but anyone who gives harper a high score after he gave cisse a hospital ball which caused him to lose the ball and us subsequently loose a goal is crazy.

I've watched this one again and again.
Yes, Harps didn't give Cliff much room, but that's the way we play.
Yes, Cliff was shaken off the ball too easily.

But, why oh why did Doobs first back off, then run away from Phillips, before making the challenge way too late to make a difference

Because he was caught in two minds what to do because of the good diagonal run of (presumably) Jerome. He'd have probably been alright had the Brum player on the ball been anyone but Phillips.
