rabidbee I personally think that people are only making a fuss about the pitch because The Championship did.


actually quite a few people mentioned it to me before kick off so it was obviously pretty bad...

Our pitch was knackered a couple of years back and didnt do our results too much harm.

Both teams have to play on it and given how we use wide areas and get the ball forward quickly a lot i reckon it might play in our favour.

I remember going on the pitch after the Derby win that sealed the chamionship in 2006. the thing that struck me was that there was virually no grass visible. It was like rolled mud, but it did not seem to matter that season.

Anyone see any of the rugby on Saturday that can give an indication how the pitch looked then ?

Could not believe how much better the pitch looked considering how bad it was 2 weeks ago and that the strange shape ball chasers had played on it since.

To be honest the pitch wasn't great. There were numerous occasions where Stephen Hunt and Kevin Doyle slipped and fell over due to the state of the pitch.
