Cardiff Away (FA Cup 3rd Round)

by AlexY25 » 07 Dec 2008 16:22

Cardiff City v Reading
Saturday 3rd January
3pm kick off, Ninian Park

We have received an allocation of 2,015 tickets (1,393 terraced, 612 seats, 10 disabled).

The seats are priced at £20 for adults, £10 for 60 & over and students, and £5 for under-16s. Terrace tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for 60 & over and students, and £5 for under-16s

Not bad prices for it. Deffo IN for it now.
Second trip there in a couple of months so should be good.

you have to be Under 16, £20 is a piss take for a reserve game.

It's a first team game though.

If it's anything like most of our cup games in recent years it will be good value (in context...)

You have to be under 30 to not complain about standing.

I'm under 30 and I don't want to stand for 2 hours in the freezing cold.

Its the last season where you can stand up a game. Well in most places. I'm taking the opportunity.
I can sit down at every other game. Although fair enough to people that want to sit down.

Its not actually that bad. When your standing the wind is blocked alot more. At ninian last month i cant remember feeling cold at all. Juts put few layers on and it wont be too bad

Walk is fine if you keep your head down. Will take about 30 minutes.

You're far better off getting the train from Cardiff Central to Ninian Park. Then its a 5 minute walk to the away end. As said keep your head down, don't wear colours and you will be fine.

I have usually walked to the ground from cardiff central and got the train back

its about a 30 minute walk,

I've never had any trouble, all I have seen is a few mouthy lads outside the away end after the game.

although there may be more of an "atmosphere" this time as a result of our late goal last week

The walk back is fine. No problems at all last time. Within 15 mins you're pretty much back in central Cardiff anyway so the football crowd quickly gets diluted by shoppers, train passengers and other pedestrians. Easy anough to avoid trouble if you don't want it.

Trains to Ninian Park Station are very infrequent and, besides, I'd much rather walk back than hang around the station next to the ground afterwards.

Better not be too bad, as I'm going to meet my Welsh mate in the Bay after the game, and it looks a fairly easy stroll down from NP.
