Very funny!
Did I hear rightly on Championship highlights, some aside that it'll cost £300k to sign him?

M U R T Y As his contract ends this season, then £300-500k would be the going rate and hard for us to turn down, considering we dont want him and able to leave for free in the summer...
Shame, considering he was considered such a bright prospect after his U21 goals not so long ago. Perhaps if he was more focussed on his football, or he was managed more succesfully, we could add a few more noughts onto these quoted amounts

It's only the going rate if there is only 1 or 2 clubs interested in him and they both just bid in that region. As soon as you've got 5 or clubs, the value can rise astronomically, especially if one of them is a Prem club and Lita is seen as the difference between staying up or going down. In that situation, you'd be willing to pay over the odds just to secure the player you want - paying £2million for someone seems a worthwhile gamble.

Didn't they have a great player called Andy Hughes ... oh, I think he's left. Last I knew he was playing for Leeds - anyone know where the Premiership player is these days?

Sammy Clingan is the only Norwich player who would improve our team. Quality defensive midfield who never gives the ball away. Far and away their best player.
The keeper, Marshall, is pretty good, and Lee Croft, the right winger, has done well this season despite looking like a pub player. Sheff Utd are apparently going to sign him in January though as he's out of contract end of the season.
The rest are absolute toilet, hence the league position. Without Lita's goals they'd be in the bottom three now. They' recently signed Carl 'The Statue' Cort from a Spanish second division club.

TOON AND TOFFEES CHASE LITA
03/01/2009
LEROY LITA is a recession-beating target for Everton and Newcastle.
The Reading striker, who has spent most of the season on loan at Norwich, is out of contract in the summer and is available at a big discount.
Both Everton and Newcastle have severely limited funds and they are both attracted by the credit crunch-busting £350,000 price tag.
Norwich manager Glenn Roeder is keen to take Lita, 24, back to Carrow Road.
But the Congo-born England Under-21 star would jump at the chance to return to the Premier League, where he starred for Reading.
