Getting on the front page of the Evening Post on New Year's Eve when disgracefully getting wrongly arrested at Hull.
Getting a ball smashed in my face when we played Chester at Macclesfield.

However, as far as the football goes, nothing could ever surpass the Simod Cup semi-final at Elm Park. That was just fooball heaven.

The group cup quarter final had paired reading at home to watford, who were second in Division One when they came to elm Park. A virtually full strength watford took the lead through luther Blissett after only 3 minutes and although gary donnellan equalised, John Barns scored two second half goals. With 4 minutes to go reading were still two goals behind when first peter Sullivan(who) and then Donnellan scored to mtake the game into a most unexpected 30 minutes.
Donnellan and Dixon scored in extra time to make a 5-3 victory for the Royals.

That Plymouth game takes some beating but the Wigan play off SF is nearly up there.
Went to the Hartlepool when T Senior scored 40 goals in 1 season the game finished 4 -4
The Southampton league cup match when we were in div 2 .
The 13 match succesive win and 4000 fans going to Newport what a day that was.
Playing Chelsea in the League cup over the 2 legs we won 4-3 went to stamford bridge in was pouring of rain no cover at the away but end but we won.
Going to the cup match vs Bristol Rovers 4 times that was when there was no penalty shoot outs then.we eventually won 1 0
Maxwell out campain when he wanted to join us with oxford.
Wembley playoffs
Milleninum play off.
And a joy of seeing us in the premiership.

you were lucky. Thanks to train delays, I got to the first replay at half-time, and couldn't get in as the turnstiles were shut. The away turnstile I was dispatched to was also shut (the park gates were locked) and I heard both goals from the game going to and from the locked park gates. So I saw four awful games, and missed both goals in the replay, meaning I didn't see a single goal until the 3rd replay.

It reminds me of perhaps the most magnificent headed goal I've ever seen. I just remember a deep curling cross and there was Martin Hicks, Reading's record holder for appearances, rising up majestically to meet it, just a bit further out than the penalty spot. He headed it with such power and precision that it flew as hard as if had been kicked, unstoppably, into the top corner. The keeper didn't even move. The crowd, what there was of it, erupted and cheered. It was magnificent, a thing of beauty. And had he not put it past his own keeper, it would have been perfect.
