Not sure of the date, but my dad took me to watch the cup game against Man City. Cant even remember the score but I do remember Steve Lomas scoring and Niall Quinn scoring a looping header.

Correct me if I'm wrong because it was so long ago, but the game in question, was that the replay to the 1-1 at Maine Road which I also went to and remembering how scary Moss Side was...

Not a replay but the second leg - the latter was my first game.

And Moss Side scary? LOL! You should try having a wander in Longsight or Ordsell late at night...

Went with a friend from school, September 1978 against Doncaster we won 3-0 Kearns 2, Bowman. Maurice Evens picked up Bells manager of the month. A warm sunny afternoon it was love at first sight and we went on to win the league that season.
