How did you get a train ticket for £10?

I was looking at going by train. It was working out to be about £80 - £90.

Jerry St Clair Trains to Ninian Park Station are very infrequent and, besides, I'd much rather walk back than hang around the station next to the ground afterwards.

They're actually every half hour. From Central station to Ninan they're at 5 past and 25 to the hour. From Ninian Park station they're at quarter past and quarter to the hour. To be honest, by the time you get out of the stadium it'll probably be roughly 5 o'clock provided there's no long delays during the match so the 5.15 train back to Central is ideal.

£1.80 return ticket + short wait for a train >>>>>>>> half hour's walk (IMO).

no idea where you are travelling from but an adult off peak return from reading to ninian park is £54

you can buy that ticket in reading station on saturday morning.

singles were available from £24 each way but are not so flexible so not really worth the saving

The way to do it is buy the advance fare from Reading to Cardiff Central, then either walk or get your train ticket to Ninian park on the day.

Booking more than 3 days in advance works for me.

£10 each way when I booked as soon as the tv games had been finalised.

Agreed, but only if you remain as motionless when standing as when sitting down.

Doing a little jogging, jumping or bouncing on the spot would look silly when you are seated and everyone around you would point and stare and giggle.

Therefore - standing gives you a better chance of increasing your body heat through acceptable forms of exercise.

I know it's probably a groundless fear, but can anyone reassure me that 1000+ people jumping up and down in a stand so much that it starts to bounce is safe?
