I don't quite get Defoe - is he really giving up on Adams already? He was given a chance by Pompey after being shut out at Spurs, and has done very well. Back in the limelight, he wants to jump ship already.

Pompey will go down with Adams in charge, Defoe's being shrewd in getting out now before his reputation is damaged. Play in that dump of a ground in the Championship or play for your mate Harry where you're loved at WHL? Difficult decision.

Heidar Helguson's loan spell at Loftus Road has been made permanent.

Excellent signing in my honest opinion. I've always fancied seeing him here as he's different to what we've got and would provide a nice balance.

When Spurs came knocking I told Wayne to stay and learn his trade at Palace, but he went, he grabbed the money, and now he's at Villa not getting in the first team, just like he didn't get in the Spurs team, just like he didn't get in the Portsmouth team and just like he didn't get in the Fulham team.
