TheMaraudingDog My name is ‘Arry Rednep. I’m gonna buy Defoe from Spurs for 7 mwillion and then buy him back for 15 mwillion cos I’m a weela deela.

It would have made him richer (allegedly) so good business for him and Defoe.

is not the true size of the deal. tottenham have got defoe back cheap as chips.and no doubt now united are losing a striker, and ronaldo has benn revealed as the one trick pony he always was, defoe will be off to old trafford for mega bucks...daniel levy pulls the strings....

The one "trick" being better than anyone else presumably.

How much did Spurs pay for Bent?

readingbedding 30 million for Berbatov.

How much did the Munichs and the Helicopters pay for Veron?

£28m and £14m respectively.

At least we got some value with 51 games and 11 goals as opposed to Chelsea who got 7 games and 1 goal

To be fair, it'll cost Spurs £11m because the sell on clause of £4m.

Not bad value in todays over inflated market.

Kitsondinho Spurs 'loyal fans' were booing Bentley inside 30 mins.......how clever!!

shows how much you know. It was actually the Burnley fans booing him because of his Blackburn history.

Well done...you know about the fact Burnley hate Blackburn......now explain why Sky (at half time) and Five live (during their 1st half commentary) commented on the Spurs fans (You know the team in white last night) booing him too, because he kept misplacing passes, was being selfish and generally sh*t.

IIRC that 1 goal for Chelsea was against Liverpool at Anfield, so well worth the fee IMO.

Of his contract he has said, 'Why should I throw fifteen million euro away when it is already mine? At the moment I signed it was in fact my money, my contract'. In the end, he only appeared eleven times during his four-year contract, reportedly earning £40,000 a week during this period. Worse still, Chelsea won a domestic trophy during this period triggering a bonus payment in agreement with his contract, despite him not featuring at all for Chelsea that season. His contract ended in 2004.

The Times says that the £15m is the agreed fee taking the clause into account (i.e. the deal is valued at £19m).

defoe "cost" under ten million. any transaction above that figure has to be reported to the stock exchange by a plc.

United fans' disgusting attitude towards Hillsbrough make them fair game IMO

Plus hoards of cash hungry 'fans' flogging Munich memorabilia on eBay. To think they have the nerve to mock Liverpool fans LOL
