Uke I am fed up with this lack of progress, the team and manager are doing a great job and gelling and performing well.
But there still remains a distinct lack of progress forward from this status.

2 world wars, 1 world cup Isn't it easy to knock a man down in retrospect?

And as a general optimist I'd love to jump on the Schards-bashing bandwagon.
But this question oflack of progress - whilst it's proven to be inaccurate as far as getting out of the Championship is concerned - still remains surely!
Let's say we go up - what then?
Who here honestly thinks we can stay up with the same transfer market/wage structure antics?
Ok we might have a fair season but we'll be down in a shot again and then we might not have The King to get us out of it again.
As Schards rightly says we WILL need wholesale changes in attitude if we go up again. Otherwise we'll be a yoyo club at best.
Will Madejski change his tune, increase capacity immediately and increase the wage structure? Will he risk a bit more and plough more money into buying new players once we're up?
We might go up... but I stand by Schards' scepticism when it comes to an inability to see progress... once we're up.

Nick Shorey my Lord! Just a minor point, but we haven't achieved anything yet....other than be dumped out of the cup competitions but that's standard practice.

Woodcote Royal Only those whose heads reside where the sun never shines would even attempt to suggest that, anything other than highly significant progress has been made since defeat at Ipswich.

Hard to see any progress for the forseeable future

I think we need to get used to mid table championship football at the very best until there is a sea change at this club.

Weren't you one of those that was calling for Coppell's head not so long ago?
But yeah, I know what you mean about some people being unable to concede a point. I mean, there were people in here who said Sidwell was a greedy bollox for leaving us and how he would never cut it in the Premiership....
