Donny is a well used term by lots of people, it's not quite as sad as giving yourself a nickname that no one ever calls you.

2 examples.

1. Paul Ince - The Guv'nor. I have never encountered anyone that has ever referred to him as this.

2. Chelsea Football club - Chels.

Chels is fine as it isn't used by the Soccer AM plebs.

The Albion is another one that should never be used.
