Records in Trouble

by Franchise FC » 15 Jan 2009 07:03

We're now relying on the combined strike force of Bolton and West Brom ( )to breach the Man Utd defence. Otherwise, the RFC record of 11 league games without conceding a goal is in some trouble.

We could also do with Leicester dropping a few extra points so that they don't get ideas above their station aiming for 106 points.

Have to admit i hadnt noticed this. Its a record thats stood for a long time, Chelsea and i think Stockport have come close in recent years.

Deathy's record is 1103 minutes. By my calculations, Man U stand at 853 minutes, so will potentially break the record in the 70th minute at thome to Everton on 2nd Feb.

Has Van de Saar played for all 9 games, is it not officially a goalkeeping record?

Does this start from the three goals scored by Gamba Osaka?

I fully expect any media interest to be more concerned with beating Cech's Premier League record

Yeah they only think it counts if it happens in the top division.

Not true, as the record is relevant whatever division the club is in, as they are limited by the resources of which they play. If that makes sense.

Yes does look ever more likely now. Hey ho, records are there to be broken i guess. Come on The Baggies.

Personally, i think our 33 games unbeaten, the longest outside the top flight, is the most impressive of our records. Not least for the fact it contained so few draws.

Another 161 minutes for ManUre to equal the record, so we need the Baggies or Everton to do Deathy a favour.

Looking good for them to they beat it, I hope they end up smashing it to be honest, it would seem less bad than only just beating it.

That is a great record, I prefer the straight wins from the begining of the season record (13 isn't it)...always loved the fact that Manure fell short of it, hopefully they will again with the clean sheet record.

IIRC weren't Manchester United running neck and neck with us before they bottled it at 10?

And then finished 4th and won nothing?
