So, what does that mean we do to resolve our right back issue? Do we put Kelly to the test against Wolves, or do we move Duberry/Bikey to right back and replace?

Gunnarsson or Bikey at right back, problem solved

Jarvis is a pretty tricky winger and I'm not sure thats the best match up with Bikey and so I think Gunnarsson might get the nod

Saying that, is Bikey actually fit right now?

And the Murty recall clause is set at...? Anybody know? Although Charlton shipped a few again today, so maybe best not. SC's specialists in their correct positions approach surely suggests Kelly?

FWIW, BTW and IMVHO, this is a really fascinating season. OK, I'd like to have seen us walk it again, but the up and down nature of things does add a frisson of excitement.

Coppell only favours specialists if they're better than the out of position player that's an alternative

I cant see Kelly getting a start over two senior players who've both played right back to a pretty good standard in the last 18 months or so

Kelly has played a couple of cup games at right back, and his most recent performance at left back left a lot to be desired

I think the rue is you are not allowed to recall in the first month of a loan (as I recall from the Lita loan). Gunnar is the answer and the reason Murty was allowed to go in the first instance.

People will say Kelly's not ready, but TBH, there really is only one way to find out, the opportunity is there for him now. Who knows, Coppell could pick him, and a good game against a handy wolves outfit could see the rise of a new royals star.

Whether Coppell will pick him though is another matter, and I can see him picking Bryn for the Wolves game, as he's played a number of games in that position before, WHU (h) 6-0 springs to mind.

A game against the top side in the division isnt the time to play a player thats looked nervous at times coming on off the bench and one that hasnt looked that great when playing in the cup side

If the game was against a middle/bottom of the table side I'd be a lot more comfortable giving him the chance, not in this game though

Gunnarsson is a disaster waiting to happen, way too slow. I have my doubts over Kelly's quality. If he's fit I'd expect Bikey, if not I wouldn't be surprised to see quite a shuffle.

Henry in and Hunt to either drop back to left back and Armstrong switch or Hunt straight into right back is a possibility IMO.

Rosenior needs a damn good talking to. Today was not the day for that sort of idiocy with Wolves next.

Coppell won't shift Hunt, Henry and Kebe to not play Gunnarsson

He shouldn't either as we'd be making too many changes to our midfield as well as playing a player who looked like a fish out of water - and an unhappy one at that - when he played left back let alone right back!

This is going to be a problem, Gunner oes not have the speed especially with Kebe not the greatest at tracking back, I would go for Kelly he is a full back by right, and he has pace.

Did you see Hunt playing at left back early on this season?
You really are crazy to think that such a left-footed player could or should play at right-back.
Personally I would play Kelly as he looks to be a clone of Rosenior and Wolves are very pacey on both flanks-Bryn is a very good reader of the game but with Ivar and Duberry both being not the quickest I think having Bryn in there as well would be wrong.

I just don't rate Bryn at full back. Central defence at a push, ok. Not full back though. Great in midfield, but even there, his specialist position, I'm not sure I'd want him playing 90 minutes.

I've only seen a bit of Kelly, but he looked very light weight, not overly hot defensively.

I did see Hunt at left back, at least twice, I thought he did alright. The problem was we had no threat on the wing with Kebe starting slowly and Convey being a shadow of his former self.


Whoever plays there I now have little hope of beating wolves. They seem to also play with two attacking wingers. I don't fancy a makeshift fullback against them, especially when the expereinced one we'll have playing just got a torrid time against Dyer.

What about Julian Kelly. he gets on the bench alot and is a right back in the mould on Rosenior (likes getting forward). It would mean that our style and formation wouldn't be altered much and Kebe would still have someone who will make over-lapping runs.
