TheMaraudingDog Manucho to Hull on loan

Is that a done deal? Would be a good chance to get him playing every week, is he highly rated at united?

BBC say Man City have bid £13m for Hamburg's Nigel De Jong. He has a release clause that lets him leave for under £2m in the summer. Quite a premium City have offered for five months.

Presumably that would be an illegal strike so they can just stop paying his wages, whilst retaining his playing registration.

That would be funny.

Looking forward to watching the Spurs / Portsmouth game. Spurs are not seen as relegation material. We shall see. Surely squeeky bum time for them on their current form.

Tony Adams does come across as a bumbling, rambling manager. Perhaps it's just his personality but wheres the passion needed for such a position.

Newcastle United boss Joe Kinnear has accused Manchester City of "taking the p***" over their bid for Shay Given.

He said: "We got offered £3m for Shay Given so I went back to Manchester City and said I'll have Stephen Ireland and Michael Johnson for £1m. If they're taking the p*** then I might as well."

Outward passion doesn't necessarily equal quality. See Coppell.

But when someone (Adams) admits he doesn't like people and would rather be a loner, it doesn't bode well for being a football manager!
