Archie's penalty I feel really sad for Burnley. They play such good football and Spurs played like big-time charlies.
Burnley deserved to go through and if Spurs play like that THEY will be battered by United. Burnley did the Championship proud and would have played well in the final.

Spurs will play better against Utd....Spurs thought they were home and dry for most of the game and nearly had the smile taken from their smug faces....however, I doubt they will be that bad v Utd.

handbags_harris Why is the League Cup the only competition to only count away goals after extra time? Any other competition, Burnley would have been through at full time.

So the top teams always have another chance in extra-time.

Bingo.
To make it more interesting they should give each of the 92 clubs a seeding. Open draws in each round with teams coming in as they currently do. Lowest seeded team is always at home and its a one off tie.

BR2 As a BTW seeing O'Hara being one of the few able to hold his head up high (as in the first leg) before his injury why on earth would Spurs want somebody inferior in that position for £5 million.

You just can't let it go can you?
I really have no idea why, but I found myself wanting Spurs to get through last night. Maybe it's jealousy of Burnley's achievement - I actually can't work it out to be honest.
