Archie's penalty

So Watson would give Boro tough tackling would he? I thought he was more of a creative player?

he can do it all, he's a better version of harper 8)

Always thought both Watson and Soares are very overatted.

Watson won't improve Boro's team imo.

Mail is claiming that Fulham and Reading have both indicated their interest in matching the £2m fee Boro agreed earlier in the week.

Make of that what you will. Can't see him coming here...

£2M Watson V £5M Shunt - Watson definitely better deal, think Bruce will look at this and realise that £5m is too much- Hunt will be here in Feb!

Does that matter- both midfielders - this is about value and Watson for £2m is better value than Hunt for £5m

what? they don't play in the same position. at all. they're not 'both midfielders', hunt is a winger. so any manager who wants to buy hunt isn't going to pull out of a deal because they can get watson cheaper. that would make zero sense.

What Im saying is that in terms of value for money - Watson @ £2m > Hunt @ £5m - so you are saying wingers have a premium on them as opposed to central midfielders?

If Hunt goes for £5m, we are seriously laughing.

Tabb is a quality signing, certainly at thos level, and knowing he can just slot straight in on the left, I feel a lot easier about waving good by to the inconsistant Stephen Hunt.

Hunt isn't worth half of that release clause.

Sell him, and let's move on.

What if they had a player equally comfortable in either position?

I agree with you though.
