juanpabloIan RoyalThaumagurist* Er, 1 defeat after an undefeated run of 9 league games is poor form?
Results do not necessarily equal good form. Tell me we've been playing at the top of our game for the last month and mean it. Go on, not even you can be that blinkered.
May I remind you we've won once in our last 5 games.
tell me please what sort of form are Wolves in?

Ian Royal I'm not aware of them having a gaping hole in their defence just crop up...

They have lost the central defender who had claimed a place in an England squad whilst playing for them!

Royal Rother So, I believe we are now the highest scorers in the football league again, and, having fielded a defensive unit (incl the 'keeper) for most of the game with very little 1st team experience (Armstrong apart) which kept the previously joint top scorers from having a single meaningful attempt on goal, I'm confident everyone would agree that very real progress is being made at this club.
Well, it needed a little bump didn't it?

Makes a change from being wrong last season, doesn't it?

Average age of the makeshift back 5 = 23.

Ian RoyalGordons Cumming HNA is such a laugh and ohhh sooooo predictable.
I predict a change in emphasis when we see off Wolves with their tails between their legs next Tuesday week.
Can't see us beating them. But I hope we do, I'll be there. I've seen some cracking games against Wolves as well.
by SpaceCruiser » 28 Jan 2009 11:28
Royal Rother I don't remember any of that.

Alan PartridgeThaumagurist* I don't care how we perform as long as we're picking up the points. Remember, the quantity of points is more important than the quality of the football.
Yes and no. Especially if you go to a lot of games, end of the day you want to see good football as well. Be entertained and all that.

Said the Torquay fan, who actually sees neither.
Hey, I think we better get used to mid-table football lads unless there's a 'sea change'.
Isn't the first viewpoint on this topic absolute comedy gold?
