In the absence of Doobs, wouldn't Cisse be the natural choice, especially given he'll start at the back in his place?

Despite all the senior pros in the reserves, Pearce has been named captain on numerous occasions. IF Duberry doesn't play tomorrow then why not make the young man captain for the day? Duberry till the end of the season for me. Plays in the position where you can see everything, he's the most experienced man we've got and has done it before.

One of Armstrong, Doobs or Doyle.

All academic though, seeing as i really think this, like usual, is a load of paper talk.

Who cares?

It is not as if the captain is the fulcrum of the team? This is football, not cricket. Quite frankly, the point of a captain dieD when amateurism gave way to professionalism. And dont give the usual "leadership on the pitch" bollix! The 11 out there should all take responsibility. JFDI!

Doobs - is he guaranteed his place?

Rosenior - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Immature  just look at his sending off! Not a chance. Doyler for me. Maybe Pearce next season or season after that.......

Possibly even Federici.

Considering it's usually given to people who have been with the team a while (except Disgraceful Derby handing it to Fowler), it would have to be Doyle, S Hunt, Convey, S Hunt, Duberry.
Personally, I'd go for Duberry until Ingi is back.

Well just give him a piece of paper with 'heads' on one side and 'tails' on the other and he can show it to the ref and point and then his job is over....

He's the most determined player in our team IMO, he's made one mistake getting himself sent off

This captain discussion has shown me that a lot of players our relatively new.

Doyle, Hunt, Ivar and Harps are the only first teamers been here longer than 3 years (i think :?: )

Shows how SC has quietly rebuilt a new team.

Eh? If you're including Doyle, then you'd better include Long, Lita and Gunnarsson who came around the same time as Doyle and S. Hunt!!!

You've missed out Hahnemann, Murty and Convey.
