Sun Tzu He probably would and it may do.

It's been commented on by so many people that the window is bad news for unsettling players.

If we didnt have the transfer window you'd have these rumours all season long not just one month.

Not to the same extent though. There would be no time pressure on doing deals until you reach the end of March when the 'old' transfer deadline used to be and it all happens the same !

EastStander Harper doesnt want to go, press is stirring it up. Simple.

Spot on.

He's been to Middlesborough before and its not the sort of place you would want to go to twice, unless you had to!

What you don't mean the system that worked perfectly well for god knows how many years - I'm not sure how I could cope with that.

Its bad enough having hear all this drivel about Hunt and Harper for the last 2 weeks, If we went back to how it was, everytime one of them had a good game we'd have to read the same shyte about them leaving. Roll on Monday 5pm this is getting tedious

Text just in from a mate: Southgate on SSN saying not keen on buying Harper, isn't going to buy anyone else this month.

Can't see Harper leaving the club tbh. If he does though he's been a great servent to the club and all the best to him.

What's going on with Harper?

by seahawk10 » 30 Jan 2009 16:19

Lots of threads that hint that he is off. Is there official word?

Sky Sports says so. Fairly reliable. No official word from anywhere but it looks more likely than S Hunt's departure is.

No new signings, says Southgate:-

"It's unlikely we will do anything between now and Monday...I don't see the point of going and signing players for the sake of it."

It did say permanent though, so could be a loan until the end of the season, then if they get relegated they wont buy him!

Is it me or has this transfer window made you loose a lot of respect for Sky sports?

I know most rumours have to be taken with a pitch of salt but when you have "Breaking News" on SSN I was also thought there was an element of truth.

The Hunty situation has completely changed that.

That wouldn't really make sense for us though would it.....
