If he goes I wont miss him. Today as at Swansea he played as a defensive midfielder on the edge of our 18yd box and allowing QPR to run the middle and come unchallenged up to our area ( 1st half especially). He is a good character to have in the squad but his play is well below par this season.........if anyone has to go sorry Harps you would be my choice.

Wouldn't it be a good idea if they were all collated on one thread?

Huh?

Not a particularly surprising sequel to the 0-0 draw at the Madejski in all honesty. We struggled to create anything of note today and if we managed to string five passes together in sequence I'd be surprised.

I thought Lita worked hard and was probably our best performer attacking-wise. He showed on two occasions how sweetly he can strike a football, but unfortunately they were from tight angles across goal. We really need to get this fella running onto things through the middle, but with the industrious Cisse and the awful Harper, this was never going to happen.

That brings me onto my next point. How on earth do some on here claim Harper is so important to the way we play?! I have to admit, I've not said many bad words against him in seasons past, but in this campaign he has been absolutely dire, as highlighted by his non-existent performance today. He was completely useless today and I can't remember him making a single beneficial touch. I've been a fan of his for a few years now, but I really do think it might be time for him and us to part ways.

I agree that James wasn't at his best but nor were Kebe and Hunt.
Credit Lita for working hard but he is so cumbersome.
My MOM was Armstrong who kept the lively Routledge quiet for most of the game.
With Coppell not using subs until added time I think he was happy with a 0-0 especially as Rangers could have gone on to win the game if they had given support to Helguson.
Note to the manager-if you think the wind was a big factor why didn't we play the ball along the ground rather than our big welly which was meat and drink to their giant defenders?
I went with two QPR blokes who suggested that it is frightening that one and possibly two sides out there could be playing in The Premiership next season.
It felt like a 3rd division game at Brentford.
It's 2 degrees warmer down South.

8) Tabb needs an appearance next game.
Pearce needs to keep his place.

Good atmosphere. Cisse and Lita both played very well. Also decent performances from Doobs and A-Fed, and of course Doyle worked hard.

That was as cold as I've been at a game since the Rotherham mauling a few years ago.

Pearce played like he had a pitching wedge attached to each boot.

He's a good stopper and good in the air but his distribution is park standard. We will be punished against better sides if we routinely concede possession all the time.

I must say Coppell more than any manager when he buys players rarely ever puts them in the squad or team straight away, you have to wonder why sometimes? :|

Armstrong is the only one really in recent memory that he's put straight into the team, Tabb has played 20 odd games for Coventry, is a versatile player, might be able to change a game, very weird they haven't put him in the 16 in either game.

Point at QPR, yeah so so. Decent away point but from the sounds of it Reading were crap again, that is concerning. Our performances in recent weeks really have been poor, yet points are still coming in. I said what Schards is saying months ago, this division is the weakest it's been in ages in terms of quality. All the teams are about the same (poor) and the teams at the top simply have better forwards than the teams at the bottom, that's the only difference. I think any team going up this year will have huge difficulty next season without a severe chunk of investment.

Have to agree with most of that AP. Today's mix was crap pitch (bobbly and narrow), crap conditions (very windy and very cold), crap away end (crap view, no leg room) and two average teams. Not a very enjoyable day out ! The best player on the pitch was Routledge who's first touch was excellent despite said conditions. Shunt £5m and Routledge £2m ???? Wrong way around methinks.
Our tactic of playing two holding mid fielders will probably get us up. We didn't look like conceding today nor did we against Wolves in mid week. And our forwards will generally get us the goals that convert the enough clean sheets to three points. But it's boring me to tears !! I understand why SC is going this route but it aint pretty !
The one bright spot was the away support and thanks go to QPR for playing Leroy's tune at regular intervals :)

I thought the pitch was to narrow to get Kebe/Liam and Armstrong/Hunt into the game. It was like playing on a 5 a side pitch.
It was just too congested in the middle of the park.
The first half we were pretty awful but probably shaded the second.

I would have taken four points from the Wolves and fake hoop games this time last week. So despite the performance against a tricky form side we ground out a point that takes us another step nearer the promised land.

On a side note I do enjoy the trips to London for the pubs and the fact that (as at Fulham) I could stand all game.
The atmosphere was better from the travelling fans today.

Sorry guys just got back to my place after a good day out but the game was a bit poor. Add to that i was dissapointed by the fans aroud me/us. Started numerous chants only no one was bothered to join in. Feel a bit let down, was in the upper towards the back and even though everyone stood thought out, no one wanted to sing.

Good result, shit performance.

I thought that the back 4 did OK and Lita & Doyle worked hard up front with little support from midfield where only Cisse emerged with any credit. Hunt and Harper might as well have been transferred for all they contributed and after a good performance on Tuesday Kebe was once again hopeless. Was bloody cold but the "swirling wind" referred to by Coppell was not apparent. Managed to park in road outside ground, had an excellent pub lunch, plenty of singing and humour in upper Y2 and stewards allowed us to stand throughout making a great day out.
