SLAMMED Havent read this thread in a while. Has schards admitted he was wrong yet?

I think it's time for schards to retract some of the points in the original post as they have quite clearly been proven to be inaccurate

I don't know why he doesn't do this-does he think there's a queue of about 50 bitter net warriors waiting to spurt onto the screen as he saus "ok ok i was wrong"?

Frankly, YES.

'greed. I am poised and ready to mock.

To be fair, "dull and uninspiring" sums up today's performance pretty well.

Went for the first time in a while as I was about and a spare ticket came up, wish I'd stayed at home as the same mistakes were there to be seen as previously.

What was the last game you saw, Royalee? Were we second in the table then as well?

Previous game I attended was Cardiff, so we were also second then - not that that was much better. Also managed to catch several games on TV this season and none have impressed me. The same faults in the team are there from last year, except they seem to be multiplying.

Madejski - clearly, his heart is not in it to the extent it was previously. He would love to sell out but can't find a buyer. He will keep the club sound and stable but has no intention of investing further funds or trying to push the club forwards.

See Sky News and the Sunday Express for further details

"I am happy to stand aside if someone comes in with what it needs to take the club forward,"

Quote from Sky (which they quoted from the Star on Sunday). This was taken from a piece where he was talking about the current financial crisis.

Now, that doesn't seem to me to say that his heart isn't in it, but if you want to interpret it that way in adesperate attempt to justify your own ridiculous opinions.......

A chairman desperate to sell, unable to find a buyer and avowed not to spend premiership money to improve the squad in the interim.

Throw in the the likelyhood of the talismanic manager leaving at the end of the season.

Yeah, who could possibly see anything but progress?

Keep those eyes shut and those hands over your ears, it's clearly comforting for you.

That quote could have come from anytime in the last decade.

It's been JM's position for years and it is irrelevant in terms of this season or next season.

You could without much searching find other quotes from recent times which paint a very different picture.

I haven't seen anything wher JM says he is 'desperate to sell', nor anything like it!! Nor have I seen anything that indicates that Coppell is 'likely' to leave at the end of the season. If you can show me any quotes that contradict what i say, I would be extremely grateful. (And I mean real quotes, not simply the workings of your imagination.

Second in the League and still looking a good bet for promotion.

Well I still don't recall seeing one which says that he is 'Desperate' to sell. Nor have I seen anything that says that Coppell is 'likely' to leave at the end of this season.

I have, however, seen loads in the press and TV whioch states that we are second in the League.

Just did a quick Google.

No JM interviews saying anything about 'desperation' or losing interest.

Several saying he didn't like the 'obscene' cost of the Premiership, a couple stating he wasn't going to walk away and generally a familiar tone from him about the club needing to operate under sound financial principles.

Also mention that a buyer was more likely if we were in the Prem.

Nope, nothing about desperation - plenty abou ambition and wantin g the club to do well - but nothing about desperation.

Still second in the League, by the way.
