Sun TzuSchards#2 Madejski talks about wanting to sell at every opportunity, whether he's keen to sell, desperate to sell, would be chuffed to sell, would be tickled pink to sell, it's all just boring semantics and has no bearing on our prospects. However you choose to phrase it, the reality is it hampers the prospects of progress.
It would be rather more interesting if you addressed this point rather than indulging on you trademark boring nit picking.
Madejski has been talking about selling for years.
Before 05-06
Before we played in the Premiership
Before Coppell was at the club
So how does talking about it now change anything ? He's clearly not desperate to sell. If he was he would have sold. There is no evidence at all that JM is restricting our progress. Considering we've progressed during the life of this thread your point is self defeated....
And you are a fine one to talk about 'semantics' given your entire contribution to HNA consists of word play and wriggling out of situations by twisting comments !!!
One day I'm sure you'll actually engage in discussion rather than preaching.
This latest article does refer to the current financial climate so in my view it is not new news but reaffirms his falling out with football.
Incidentally I do find it a bit odd that he (incorrectly) says "we've never seen the like of this economic downturn before..." when not only has he made a significant profit on the sculpture but also the Premier League has re-negotiated IMPROVED terms for Premier football on TV.
Life may become more difficult for the other leagues but the Premier has a few more years of gravy train left.
I would have thought to improve his chances of a good price sale he would have pushed the boat out in this transfer window to bring in players BETTER than the current squad whereas from selection for the last 3 games it looks very much as though they are only in as cover.
For an extremely wealthy man he does seem to moan a lot-even more than some of us on here who are just marginally less wealthy. .
